It is easy to imagine international first-class air travelers sipping on French Champagne while stretching out in their luxury seats. Is there a more time-honored tradition to pass the double-digit flight times than drinking bubbles?

Now, along with private showers and chef-curated cuisine, Delta Sky Club brings the same top-shelf beverage experience down 35,000 feet to their premium airport clubs.

Major airlines design their lounges as a respite from the hustle & bustle of travel. They offer a refuge to relax, refuel and recharge device, mind, and body.

Stepping into a club and up to the bar leaves behind the ubiquitous options found in the sundry restaurants and bars in the terminals. For many, nothing starts a journey, or calms rattled nerves better than a great glass of wine or a well-crafted cocktail. For those travelers, the Delta Sky Club premium bar program has elevated the imbibing options to the oasis level.

Each Spring, the Delta Sky Club team of beverage experts begins a months-long process of curating an exciting, new beverage program. They revisit classics like Silver Oak Cabernet and taste through hundreds of new wines, beers, and spirits. The goal is to craft a beverage program that offers a range of familiar favorites and exciting new discoveries.

Complimentary beverage options available in all Delta Sky Clubs range from well-known wines like Fetzer Pinot Grigio to the on premise only Silver Gate Cabernet, vinted by James Foster, a winemaking legacy who specializes in crafting wines with true varietal character. The expanded premium bar program is offered in over forty domestic clubs with international routes. This is where the thirsty imbiber can enjoy a small but mighty list of top-shelf spirits, premium wines, including French Champagne, and a dozen fun signature cocktails - all for a modest upcharge.

These brands are refreshed annually. The team assembles brands to consider for months and looks to tasting events like the PR%F Awards to discover lesser-known gems. With only three to four open spots per category, the competition for placement is intense.

Delta Sky Club has been honored to be the travel partner for the PR%F Awards since its inception. This partnership has given the team front row seats as the wines, spirits, and mixers battle for Best of Show and medal contention. In all three years, numerous medal winners have been selected for placement on the complimentary and premium menus. This includes this year’s Century Award Winners Uncle Nearest 1856 Tennessee Whiskey and Anna’s Kitchen Peach Jalapeno Shrub featured in the signature cocktail: The Prickly Peach Lemon Drop. Other PR%F award-winning brands available are Fid Street Hawaiian Gin, Hardy Legend 1863 Cognac, and Dos Hombres Mezcal.
