While there are many waterfalls that grace Goa, here ’ s a complete guide to Savari Waterfalls! Savari Waterfalls: This beauty is a perennial waterfall. Savari is a tiny hamlet that has been ticked away in the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary inside the village Sanguem. This place is home to various local species of plants and animals. Especially famous for the local tree Bombax Ceiba which is locally called the Savari, hence the waterfall. The beautiful pond that forms the base is nothing less than a scene out of a movie. It must be noted that the area is guarded by security to avoid any unfortunate accidents. How to Get There A simple trek and hike is the best way to get to Savari Waterfalls. It lies at a distance of about 3km downhill from the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary. Because the Netravali wildlife sanctuary is located in the hinterlands of Goa, one might find a little difficulty with
transportation, but it is highly recommended to drive or ride in your own vehicle to get to the Netravali Wildlife Sanctuary. Get to the main gate of the Netravali Sanctuary by car or any other mode of transport. You can then choose between the popular waterfalls within that are the Mainapi Waterfall or the Savari Waterfall and pay a minimal entrance fee at the gate. In order to get to the Savari Waterfall, one can begin a short hike that takes about 20 minutes. The beauty of this short hike is that it is a downhill hike, and you can almost hear the gushing of this massive beauty as you arrive closer. The anticipation buildup is truly worth the hype. In order to make this place more accessible to everyone, the authorities have now built step-like structures that make it easier to hike up and down. Things You Need to Know Before the Visit - Entry Fees: The authorities charge a minimal fee in order to gain entry into the Savari Waterfall region. - Restrictions: While visiting the area, it is important to be mindful of the fact that unruly behavior is not expected and appreciated for safety reasons. You will pass a security check by the guards, and things like alcohol, cigarettes, and speakers act are prohibited from maintaining the serenity of the place. - Ideal Visiting Time: The ideal time to visit the place is early in the morning.
