Quite often when an infection reaches the inner portion of the tooth it results in toothache. Add this time a simple filling would not help and you would require a root canal treatment. So what exactly is a root canal treatment and is it really necessary? Wouldn't it be better to extract tooth instead?

What is a root canal treatment?
