Amtrak Debuts Updated Locomotives

New Amtrak locomotives — made in the U.S. and cleaner, faster and more fuel efficient than predecessors — recently began service pulling the famous Amtrak Empire Builder train westbound from Chicago to Seattle. Locomotives 301 and 302 are among the first of 75 locomotives being delivered through 2024. These ALC-42 locomotives are an important part of Amtrak’s sustainability initiative and are considerably more environmentally friendly than their 1990s predecessors.

Martin Yan to Open Restaurant in Vegas

James Beard Award winner and public television star chef Martin Yan will bring his internationally loved style and flavors to the newly rebranded Horseshoe Las Vegas in the third quarter. The chef's first Las Vegas restaurant, M.Y. Asia, will celebrate many of Asia's beloved dishes and bring authentic Asia to the resort.

The Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation has reached an agreement with Great Wolf Resorts to build one of their beloved indoor water park resorts. Loaded with an array of family entertainment options, Great Wolf Lodge at Mashantucket will provide families with a close and convenient year-round getaway. Known for its immersive resort experience, Great Wolf Lodge provides an oasis of family joy and limitless opportunities for children and parents to bond and create lasting memories together.
