GROUNDED IN RESEARCH GLYCOFLEX ® THE EFFECTS OF GLYCOFLEX® 3 ON A STABLE STIFLE OSTEOARTHRITIS MODEL IN DOGS Clinically proven to increase hind leg strength by 41% GlycoFlex® 3 was used in a randomized, double-blind, cross over design dog study at Washington State University. In this study, researchers used an osteoarthritis (OA) model to determine if GlycoFlex® 3 could support normal joint function in affected patients. The results of the study suggest that GlycoFlex® 3 may help normalize joint function in dogs with joints affected by OA. COMPOSURE ™ ASSESSMENT OF ANXIOLYTIC PROPERTIES OF A NOVEL COMPOUND IN BEAGLE DOGS WITH A NOISE-INDUCED MODEL OF FEAR AND ANXIETY Our Composure™ was used in a blind, repeated measures study with two treatment groups conducted by CanCog Technologies to demonstrate that a single dose of Composure™ would have anxiety reducing properties in dogs, with specific objectives of establishing the onset and duration of anxiolytic properties of Composure™.

Clinically shown to work within 30 minutes Clinically shown to be effective for up to 4 hours The dogs taking Composure™ showed a greater statistical reduction of thunder-phobic activity at either 30 minutes or 4 hours after administration as compared to the control group. This result suggests a calming effect in the Composure™ group not seen in the control group.

Dr. Kendall received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Vermont in 1965 and went on to obtain his PhD in Organic/Biochemistry in 1970 from Penn State University. He has held teaching positions at University of Bridgeport and Ambassador University and presently holds seven U.S. Patents and two European Patents, six of them on Dimethylglycine. He has worked for over 35 years in the field of nutritional research and product development, and is considered to be the leading expert in the biochemistry and therapeutic applications of DMG.

DR. DOUG KNUEVEN

Beaver Animal Clinic–Beaver, PA Dr. Kneuven graduated from The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. He practices integrative veterinary medicine using acupuncture, homeopathy, Chinese herbal medicine, chiropractic, as well as traditional western medicine. He is certified in animal chiropractic and veterinary Chinese herbology, and has completed a Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy. Dr. Kneuven is also the author of Stand by Me, A Holistic Handbook for Animals, Their People, and the Lives They Share Together.

DR. PJ BROADFOOT

Broadfoot Veterinary Clinic–Van Buren, AR Dr. Broadfoot graduated from Kansas State University in 1981 and started a solo practice in Van Buren KS. She is a member of the Kansas VMA, AVMA, AHVMA, ASBRM and RAIVE. She has instructed at the College of Integrative Veterinary Technologies, and given lectures on nutritional aspects of healing. Dr. Broadfoot is an accomplished speaker and writer, including coauthoring the textbook Integrating Complementary Medicine into Veterinary Practice.

DR. ELIZABETH DELOMBA Vet Advisory Board Chair

For over 26 years, Dr. DeLomba has combined private clinical companion animal practice with corporate veterinary consulting. She has over 13 years of private clinical companion animal practice experience combined with more than 12 years of corporate veterinary pharmacy experience. Dr. DeLomba holds a BA in Biological Sciences from Smith College, a DVM in Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University, and a MBA from Villanova University.

DR. NICOLE SHEEHAN

The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson–Davidson, NC Dr. Sheehan graduated from the Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has studied various methods of holistic medicine, holding advanced certifications in Veterinary Acupuncture, Chinese Food Therapy, Veterinary Chinese Herbal Medicine and Meridian Autonomic Testing (Muscle Testing). Dr. Sheehan established The Veterinary Hospital of Davidson in 2013 and provides holistic pet care locally and to patients from all over North Carolina and the surrounding states.

DR. NANCY SCANLAN Director, AHVMA

Dr. Scanlan graduated from U.C., Davis in 1970. During her time in private practice, she increased her knowledge of nutrition and nutritional supplements and lectured on the topic in relation to endurance horses. After selling the practice in 1979 she spent 10 years educating veterinary technicians. She then returned to private practice for 15 years, working in a seven-veterinarian practice, with a special interest in nutrition and nutritional supplements. She is now the Executive Director of the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Foundation (AHVMA).
