Introduction

This is the sixth Scottish Football & Rugby Business event we have organised at Hampden Park, and as previously we have received great support from the Stadium Team and Steven Romeo at the Scottish FA.

We have again seen a great response from clubs across all divisions down into non-league. We also have several other clubs visiting today.

The event offers clubs and sport related businesses alike the opportunity to get together in an informal setting and we hope you have a successful day.

Sponsors, Future Ticketing are on hand to demo their latest ticketing and CRM software. The Irish based company have made big inroads with Scottish Clubs in the past couple of years. Ronan Burns will give a short presentation at 1:15pm outlining their system and the benefits of it.

There were two reasons to go from static advertising to digital; the main one was the finances, and the second was the look; we wanted to present Gillingham as a professional club and move the club forward, and that is a statement of intent for us! We’ve gone from 10-12 people advertising with us to over 100 and are completely sold out. Financially, it made a huge difference, and other areas of the business are growing off of the back of the LEDs. We’ve paid for the cost of the installation within a year, and we are generating ten times more than before; the extra money is being invested in the players and the pitch, and we are doing so more sustainable because we are generating the money ourselves.
