Request for Proposal Foothills Research Institute Annual Report 2010/11 The Foothills Research Institute (FRI) invites you to provide a quote for the production of the 20102011 Foothills Research Institute Annual Report. This will involve all phases of production from research to writing to editing to creation to design to review to printing to mailing. The deadline for st submission of a quote is noon on Tuesday May 31 , 2011. The FRI Annual Report (AR) is a cornerstone of the organization’s communications and extension efforts. It provides an annual update for partners and individuals interested in sustainable land and forest management. Furthermore, the annual report is used as a communications tool at meetings and events throughout the year. The AR is a very useful internal communication tool because it contributes to a running history of the organization.

About FRI: Since 1992, the Foothills Research Institute (formerly the Foothills Model Forest) has been conducting applied research on the cultural, ecological, economic and social values of Alberta’s forested landscape. Over our history, we have also worked with our partners on initiatives that contribute to integrated resource management such as the Regional Access Development Plan and the existing Foothills Stream Crossing Program.

Audience: FRI share holders, partners, practitioners, researchers,  Those interested in FRI and sustainable land an forest management,  Communications professionals from the FRI partners.

Theme: “Our Partners Asked and FRI Responded with New Initiatives”. Text Outline: The FRI annual report is a succinct document that communicates the innovative nature of our work. The report includes the following messaging and developments in 2010/11: 

Timeline: Unless otherwise noted, the deadline for completion and delivery of 2010/11 Annual Report to the th Foothills Research Institute is August 15 , 2011.

Proposal Requirements: 

Please check out the FRI website to review past annual reports

Please include a cost breakdown for each phase of production (writing, editing, design & layout, review, printing, mailing).

Please include with your quote, a short summary of similar projects, as well as samples (hard copy or direct us to an electronic copy) of previous projects.
