Forbes Asia’s Fabulous 50 & Businessman of the Year Award Ceremony and Dinner On December 8, 2010, Forbes Asia’s 2010 Fabulous 50 companies & Businessman of the Year were honored for their success at an award ceremony and dinner held in Bangkok, Thailand. The Prime Minister of Thailand, His Excellency Abhisit Vejjajiva, was the guest-of-honor and he presented the Businessman of the Year award to this year’s recipient, AirAsia’s Group CEO, Tony Fernandes. Forbes Asia’s Fabulous 50 companies are Asia-Pacific’s best big public companies, with at least US$3 billion in revenue or market capitalization. Forbes editors picked the group of companies based on their long-term profitability, sales and earnings growth as well as projected earnings and stock-price gains. This year’s list of Fabulous 50 companies was published in the 2010 September Special Issue of Forbes Asia, while the Businessman of the Year feature appeared in the December 2010 issue.
