BOOK SAMPLER….
Chapter 1: Introduction.. Before we get started let me pour myself a glass of lemonade cuz shit bout to get real. Oh, by the way my name is Omega. I don’t know where the hell my mama got that name from but I always say, “I don’t start no shit but I will finish it.” I live in Fort Myers, Florida but most people call it Lil Pakistan or Fote Misery cuz these mufuckers crazy. I swear everybody here got a split personality but …they’re clever as hell and got schemes for days. If there’s a way to make money, we gone get it by all means necessary and you can believe that! In my city the good die young, the ungrateful have everything and loyalty is rare. The story I’m about to tell you gone have you on the edge of your seat. Listen carefully so that you don’t miss nothing cuz I ain’t gone tell this shit again. Most people holla M.O.B. but where I’m from its H.O.E. short for “Hustle Over Everything”. If you ain’t got no hustle you better get you one cuz you can’t survive here without it. BAM! BAM! BAM! Who
da fuck knockin on my door like dey da police? Oh, that’s my homegirl India. I forgot she was coming over. We finna slide somewhere right quick so I’ll finish this later. I grabbed my purse off the couch and threw on my shades. If I wasn’t already dressed and ready to go before she got here she would have had a fit. I closed and locked the door behind me and walked over to her car. I could hear K. Michelle blasting thru the speakers of her red Chevy Impala. India and I go way back. We’ve been friends since elementary and thick as thieves. She was pecan tan and well… proportioned with hazel eyes. When I got in the car she turned the music down. “What’s up chick?” She asked. “Nothin much. Glad to get out the house but its hot as hell outside.” I replied. “You’re mighty jolly. You must have got some last night”, I teased. “See now you bein nosey. Stay outta grown folks business.” She was popping chewing gum and waving her hand as if she was shooing me off. “Chile please, ain’t nobody stun you but don’t be tryna tell me yo business later heifer.” I put my seatbelt on and adjusted my seat. From how far back it was leaning I know she had Haze in here. That’s India’s man.
They’ve been thick for a little over a year now. We were cruising in 90 degree weather with the ac blasting. It was the summertime and Florida was definitely living up to its name, the sunshine state. “Where we goin first Mega?” India asked. “It don’t matter as long as we get something to eat.” “Yo fat ass always wanna eat”, she said jokingly. “I know you ain’t talkin”, I shot back as I turned to face her. “I need to swing by the spot to get some money from dude.” “I guess he good for somethin’ but its still sum bout dat nigga dat I don’t like.” India was always straight forward. If there was an issue she addressed it and if she had something on her chest, she got it off. “He’s just somebody to occupy my time for the time being. You know it ain’t even that deep.” Jayce was a cool dude but he was used to females being on his trail and I was not that type of chick. I picked up my cell phone to dial his number. “Hurry up so I can tell you about who I seen hugged up last night.” By the way she said it I knew it was gone be a mind blower. The phone rung three times before someone answered. “Hello?” All I could hear was sheets rustling in the phone. I tried to press my ear to the receiver so I could listen better. “What da hell?” My face must have
been hella twisted cuz India turned to me with the screw face. “What’s wrong Mega?” She asked. “Tell me what this sounds like.” I took the phone from my ear and hit the speaker button.” “don’t… stop… right… there…” (smack) “Biiitttch!!!! They fuckin!” India was hyped. “I told you! I told you! I told u that nigga was foul!” She was so crunk her damn chewing gum fell outta her mouth. “So how you gone handle his ass? You want me to call Pookey? He owe me a favor.” “Chill out India. I got something for his ass. Let’s go eat and we’ll discuss it over lunch.”
Chapter 2: The Meeting We arrived at Outback Steakhouse and were immediately seated. I was still fuming from hearing Jayce on one of his sexcapdes so my mind was racing a hundred miles an hour. “He’s just somebody to occupy my time. It ain’t that deep.. blah, blah, blah”, India said mockingly.” If it ain’t that deep then why you sittin’ over there lookin like somebody done pissed in your Cheerios?” “It’s not that deep…. It’s the principle of the thing. I feel like he sized my gangsta. If the nigga wanted to do him he shoulda made it clear and kept that shit one hunnid. Feel me?” By now I was rolling my neck like a straight ghetto bird but I ain’t give a damn. I didn’t need the nigga to explain nothing to me. Like my girl Egypt used to tell me, “If you allow a man to explain himself after you know you caught him, he’ll drive your ass straight to crazy town and have you doubting yourself.” See, she’s the sensible one out of the group. If I would have let her in on my plan she would have tried to talk me out of it, so I didn’t even bother. Instead I called my cousin True and my homegirl Diamond while India called Talia,
Leila and Taji and told them to meet us here. I texted my girl Chewy and entered code 911 so that she knew it was urgent. She called me back within minutes and once I gave her the location she said she’d be on her way.
Chewy was the first to arrive.
She came in strutting like she owned the place with her Dolce and Gabanna shades covering her eyes. Every time I saw Chewy she was fly. She had a body to die for. The women envied her while the men adored her. I told the waitress we were expecting the rest of our party to arrive shortly so she was escorted to our table as soon as she told the host her name. When she reached us she removed her shades and gave us a hug before she took her seat. “Are you ready to order your drinks or do you ladies want to wait until the rest of your guests arrive?”, the waitress asked. “Can you give us a minute please?” I replied. “Sure, no problem”, she answered. “What’s good? To what do I owe the pleasure of this meeting?” Chewy never wasted time. She got right down to it. That’s what I liked about her. She was definitely about her business. “Omega in her feelings and wanna teach ol boy a lesson”, India blurted out. “Whatever, I am not in my damn feelings but I do want to teach his ass a
lesson. I’m just waiting for the rest of the crew to arrive,” I told her. As soon as those words left mouth, in walked my girls at the same time. Chewy, India, and I stood up from the table and greeted them when they came over. “Ok, now that everybody is here, lets order our drinks and get down to the nitty gritty.” I was anxious to let them all know what I needed them to do. After the waitress took our orders and brought us our drinks I started to explain my plan. Leila was to supply the car. She had a Dodge Charger that had a paint job on it like the mood changing nail polish. In the day time the sun made it black but when night fell it changed to the color blue. She also had Dez make it to where with just the push of a button the license plate flipped over to a whole new one. On top of that she had connections at the DMV that made her two registrations, one for each plate and color. My dawg definitely had the hook up. Chewy on the other hand was an A1 booster. I needed her to supply the gear. Whatever you wanted, she could get it. Gucci, Louis, and Prada included. The waitress came back over and took our orders. Once the food arrived I told them my plan. We chopped it up, ate good, and then stood to part ways. “Ay Chewy. I was just wondering…
Where you got that name from?” Diamond didn’t care what came outta her mouth. Chewy turned around and said, “From an old fling. He told me whenever we went out in public, niggas would be drooling like they wanted to smack on it.” She smiled, put her D&Gs on and walked off. “Well damn”, Talia muttered under her breath.
Chapter 3: The Set Up Later On that night. Beyoncé’s song “Dance 4 U” eased its way thru the speakers. I had Jayce sitting on a chair in the middle of the bedroom while I danced for him and performed a striptease. As I swayed my hips to the music I never took my eyes off of him. By the way he was looking I could tell he was enjoying every minute of it. I moved closer to him while slowly running my h…and down the middle of my stomach until I reached the top of my black lace boyshorts. I pulled them down just enough so that he could get a good view then teased him by pulling them back up. I smiled seductively while he sat there licking his lips. Jayce pulled me closer to him and started placing kisses on my stomach. When he got to my womanhood he ran his tongue against the fabric of my panties. A slight moan escaped my lips and for a minute I forgot that this was all an act. “You just don’t know what I’m about to do to you”, he said. “Oh really?” I asked. “Umhm”, he answered. Right when he started to pull them down, BANG! He jumped up and I ducked. Four masked men bumrushed him and
knocked him to the floor. He was trying to get to his gun but little did he know, I had already removed it. “Calm down before I bust a cap in yo ass!” Even though she tried to disguise her voice, I could tell that was Diamond. I was cracking up in the inside but I had to maintain my composure. “Whatever ya’ll want ya’ll can have it. Just don’t shoot me please.” Jayce pleaded. “Nigga shut da fuck up! We runnin this shit. You just do what we ask and nobody gets hurt. Capiche?” That was Taji tryna sound all gangster. This was too funny. Diamond took the rope out of the bag and tied us both up. “Yo Earth!” “Whats up Wind?” “Who got the blindfold?” “Fire got it.” These bitches bout to blow our cover cuz I almost started laughing my ass off! They gave themselves code names and out of all the names they could choose from they chose damn Earth, Wind, and Fire. “Tina Turner you got the duffel bag?” As soon as I started to laugh, the person who I think was India smacked the shit outta me. One of the girls covered their mouth and I almost lost my cool but I had to stay in character. “Bitch you find something funny?” India asked. All I could do was shake my head no. Jayce was just sitting on the floor looking stupid. By this time
one of the other girls had tied him up. Before she gagged him he told her where his stash was. “Ya’ll look like ya’ll was about to get ya’ll freak on up in here.” That was Taji. “The dick good girl? Let that nigga know!” Talia was always tryna be damn funny. While she was quoting Trina like she was the baddest bitch, India had all of Jayce’s money in her possession. “Looks like we’re done here, Thank you both for being such good sports.” That was Diamond being sarcastic. Since I didn’t get blindfolded I rolled my eyes. As the girls turned to walk out of the bedroom, we all heard the front door shut. “What the fuck?” All four of them said in unison. In my head I’m thinking, “Aww shit!.”
