To submit music for review, send track to: Fordentmagazine@gmail.com “Last Time” HbMt GBaby With a slow start to the beat and slow-building energy, while crooning random ad-libs, Gbaby jumps into the track with a relatable, energetic chorus that you could already feel through your veins was going to be a deep anthem representing life’s struggles. Vibing through the 1st verse, as he recalls some of his life’s challenges and even his days spent in a cell, this track is captivating and definitely worth the listen. As the artist provides more and more details into his life and his journey through it, this track is run-that-sh*t-back! worthy as you find yourself singing along “I ain’t going back broke no more!” Thank you for this track. I really enjoyed it. Last month, Fast Life Pito dropped a mixtape, bringing back the art of putting together a playlist of hot, slept-on independent artists. That tape, titled Heart of the City, brought us some bangers like “Hating” by Shaebo and Lini, swear I can play that track over and over, “Hurt” by Baby J, which honestly I’ve yet to hear a bad Baby J track, and “Look at Me” by Cveser, that track just makes you move, a great track to get dressed to, try it. Pito truly is one of the best characters to put a playlist together. His love for music is unparalleled, he holds no judgment, and his brilliant mind when it comes to organizing a project behind the scenes is almost robotic. Although, his taste sometimes comes into question...as “Ft Myers Rolex”, another track from the first mixtape, enters the chat. Any song that you have to explain its meaning versus just feel it through the music, is a no for me. Give it listen on Soundcloud, along with his newest project FastLife The Mixtape, both highly recommended.
“ “Hunnit Proof” 1Boss With a flow that can easily fit in today’s radio rotation, right in between the latest NBA Young Boy and any other top artist out right now, Hunnit Proof is a great anthem to the soundtrack of your daily grind. With solid verses, a captivating hook, clever punchlines, and an artist with a unique voice, this track belong on your playlist without a doubt. It definitely makes you wonder what else this artist has in his catalog. When he said “Streets gon vouch for a nigga like me, coz nigga I’m a Hunnit Proof” I felt that.
“Quarantine Freestyle” Perico papi New to the game, which you can kinda tell, with a young nervous flow, Perico Papi steps in with high energy and a street resume you can hear through every bar. With a flow that sometimes races against the beat versus vibe with it, this track that can be appreciated in the right setting. For the moment, I would strongly suggest this artist focuses on growing and maturing his flow and find the vibe he’s most comfortable in.

21 things about Skin By Empress Spade
1. Period skin is real.
8. Glycolic acid works, too.
2. Kick dryness at night.
9. Vitamin C is your friend.
Everyone’s skin suffers from periods when nothing is working. But masks balance skin quickly: Clays reduce oil, and gels calm redness.
If you wake up with dry skin, change your bedtime routine, not the morning one. It’s easier to head off dryness at night than to reverse it the next day.
3. Cleansing cloths shouldn’t be your first line of defense.
Face wipes may be more convenient than old-school cleansers, but don’t rely on wipes to detox skin if you live in a city where pollution is high.
4. Multi-mask.
You don’t have to use one product on your entire face. Try glycolic acid on the T-zone to minimize breakouts and thick creams elsewhere.
5. Take your time when applying products.
When layering, let each product absorb for two or three minutes so it’s not counteracted or diluted by the next one you put on.
6. The sun is responsible for fine lines.
Ninety percent of fine lines are caused by sun exposure, which makes sunscreen the ultimate ingredient for younger-looking skin. Use an SPF 30 or higher daily.
New to chemical peels? Try glycolic acid for normal skin, salicylic acid for oily or combination skin, and gentle lactic acid for dry or sensitive skin.
Use brighteners (we like vitamin c) within six months of seeing a dark spot. Melanin goes deeper into skin over time, so it’s harder to reach.
10. Sweep up oil with a foaming face wash.
If you’re breaking out along your hairline, it could be from the oil in your hair products. A foaming face wash cuts through the oil without being harsh.
11. Self-care with a sheet mask.
Sheet masks push hydrating ingredients into the skin. Put one on over your moisturizer for 10 minutes at night, and your skin will be dewy the next day.
12. Be patient when using retinol.
Using Retinol is a marathon, not a sprint. It stimulates collagen but can irritate. Start using it once per week, over a moisturizer.
13. Acne products come in many formulas.
Benzoyl peroxide kills P. acnes bacteria; use it all over to prevent breakouts. A 2.5 or 5.5 percent formula works without flaky side effects.
14. Blackheads hate salicylic acid.
Salicylic acid is really only ideal for blackheads and whiteheads. If it dries you out, look for it in a face wash and let it sit on your skin for 30 seconds.
15. Integrate fatty acids into your routine.
Your skin uses omega fatty acids to produce lipids (moisturizing oils) and studies show that omega-3 supplements improve skin’s lipid levels and hydration.
16. Apply sunscreen
— everywhere.
Don’t forget sunscreen on your ears, hairline, neck, hands, and chest. Dermatologists can look at your décolleté to see how old you are.
17. Pack an extra pillow for puffy eyes.
If you wake up to puffy eyes, add an extra pillow under your head while you sleep — gravity drains enough fluid to help with next-day puffiness.
18. Peel pads are almost too easy not to use.
Glycolic acid treats lines and dark spots. It’s most effective in Individually wrapped peel pads (the pH of glycolic acid can change when it’s exposed to air).
19. Don’t towel off.
If your skin is ashy, make one easy change: Don’t dry it completely before moisturizing. Creams seal in hydration and work best with a little water.
20. Swap out your sunscreen.
Dryness, redness, and tight skin are signs that you may need to switch to a higher SPF. Try a new sunscreen and see if the issues go away in a few days.
21. Fight hyperpigmentation during the day.
Treat dark spots using antioxidants during the day. At night, apply topical retinoids to enhance cell turnover to shed pigment.

Auntie: In marketing, I got my Bachelor’s in Business Marketing and my Masters in Non-Profit Management. Perfect, so you get to use your corporate degree to push your current platform now. Auntie: Correct. Correct! And that’s exactly what I used, I used everything I learned. Yup. And being a businesswoman and being the talent, how do you balance the two? Auntie: It gets daunting but I love it because, I’m a big nerd and it’s basically from being in the business world, you learn to manage your time. At this time of the day, you work on this, at this time you work on another project and that’s what I do with my character. At night is when I do the talent, meaning the craziness, during the day, I do all of the promoting, the flyers, calling venues to plan the tour, paying

Since the inception of the Stay at home order by local civic leaders, governors, and strong recommendation by the Federal Government, most people find themselves at home looking for new ways of entertainment since the middle of March. Thanks to world famous hip hop producers, Swizz Beatz & Timbaland, and the social media platform, Instagram, we have intrigued by Versuz. A virtual battle between artists, writers, and producers where two individuals go song for song to see who has the better catalog. With the likes of club heavy weights T-Pain vs Lil Jon, Rnb legendary writers Neyo vs Johnta’ Austin, Hip Hop boom bat legendary producers DJ Premier vs Wu-tang’s Rza, and Pioneers Teddy Riley taking on Babyface Edmonds, we are treated from our homes, along with 500,000 other viewers at times, a moment to witness history. The likes of Michelle Obama, Diddy, Adrien Brody, and the list of many celebrities are sitting VIP just as you are.
