QUICK PRIVATE LABEL RIGHTS OVERVIEW
Master Resell Rights and Private Label Rights Explained
What is Master Resell Rights When you buy a product with "Master Resell Rights" this gives you the opportunity to "pass" on the resell rights to the person who buys from you. Say for example: You have "master resell rights" to an e-book. This means you can sell that e-book to anyone you wish, and keep 100% of the profits PLUS the person who bought it off you can also sell the e-book, keep 100% of the profits and pass on the resell rights again to the next person. Important Note: Some creators may have the stipulation that only when you buy from him/her that you receive the master resell license however, the customer who buys from you may not receive the master resell rights license. For example: Little Suzy created a book on "How to clip your nose hairs" – She offers Master Resell Rights to her buyers, but does not allow your buyers to pass on the master resell rights so when little Robbie (who bought from little Suzy) sells this product... He can offer his customers the "resell rights" (which means his customers can also sell the product can keep 100% of the profit but his customers cannot offer the resell rights). So now little Mark has bought from little Robbie – This means little Mark can sell the book "How to clip your nose hairs" but he cannot pass on any resell rights to the book. What are the advantages to Master Resell Rights? Well – if you are marketing to an internet marketer, an offer of being able to resell the item adds more value to the product. They can now, not only profit from the information they receive inside of the e-book but they also can make profits by reselling and passing on the resale rights again adds value to the next customer who buys.
And the creator of the product reaps a "viral affect" spreading their name as an "expert" in the field. It's a win-win situation for both the buyer and seller. What you can "expect" to receive with Master Resell Rights Usually, in master resell rights, the creator does not allow you or anyone else to edit the content within the book and is offered in a "as is" type condition. Master Resell Rights may include the following:
The creator may offer a sales page included with the book
The creator may offer graphics eg. E-book covers, banners, order now buttons, background images
They may allow you to package their e-book with your other e-books
They may allow you to include their book as a bonus
They may have a certain "price value". For example – you may not be allowed to sell under a certain dollar value – I've even seen some come with a "maximum" dollar value eg- Not allowed to sell the item above $97
They may even allow you to give it away for free
Important: Always check the license agreement, as this is the only 100% way to be sure of what you can do with the resale item you bought. Some creators may have some obscure condition to their "offer" of their master resell rights item. They can choose to place any restriction they wish upon the item. If you are ever in doubt of what you can do with the creator's product – send them e-mail! It's better than getting a slap around the wrist or even worse a notice from their lawyer for breeching your license agreement. What is Private Label Rights Private label rights are usually much more expensive than just Master resell
rights as private label rights gives you the opportunity to change the content within the book to however you please, making the content more "original" and "one of a kind" and allows to place your name on it as the author. Here is where it can become confusing... Private Label Rights with Master Resell Rights. What does this mean? Depending on the license agreement with the creator, you can also buy Private label rights that include Master Resell rights. This is where most people get "confused". Simply, this means you not only have the right to change the information within the book and place your name as the author but you can also pass on the license and give the next person resell rights to the content as well. Please Note: Not all Private label rights will come with a master resell license. And some may have a stipulation that you can only sell master resell rights to the private label rights content if you change a certain percentage of the "original raw content" – For example: they may request 60% of the content must be changed in order to sell Master Resell Rights. What you can do with Private Label Rights As mentioned previously... you can change the content, add to it, subtract it, leave it how it is and place your name on it as the author. Some creators of the private label rights will not allow you to use "their" name on it. Why? Because you are able to change that content as you please, they don't know you, and don't know your writing capabilities or what you know on the subject.
Their "name" is their reputation as it should be yours as well. If you've just bought private label rights to a product on "How to stop the next door neighbor's cat from peeing on your front doorstep" and you decide to add to that content "just shoot the mongrel" – more than likely you're going to ruffle a few feathers and the creator of the product wouldn't want any association with your product. If you are planning on selling Private label rights, I would also strongly recommend you place in your license agreement that your name cannot be added to the book, just to rule out any possibility of been seen as the "provider" of poor information. What else will you receive with you Private Label Rights? Unless its software or someone has other ways of distributing the content to you, in most cases you will generally receive your product in pdf format and in Microsoft word document. Microsoft word document gives you the opportunity to change the raw content to your own. Pdf format is an opportunity to put it up and sell it right away if you don't want to make any changes to the book. Some private label rights will also offer you graphics eg. E-book covers, banners/headers, order now buttons, background images. Some may also offer the PSD source files so you can edit these to how you please. You may also receive a readymade sales page that you can also edit to your likings. You may also be allowed to use some of / or even all of the content in the book as web page content. Some people will buy private label rights just for this sole purpose to provide quality content to their readers and likely to increase their Adsense revenue.
What You Don't Know About Using PLR Content – But Need To
Private Label Content (PLR) has been a hot topic in online business over the last couple of years. As more opportunities have emerged for people to make money with niche marketing, so has the demand for affordable content. PLR is the perfect solution! If you're not familiar with how PLR works, it is essentially a way for multiple people to "share" content. Since they are all given access to use or change the content, they pay significantly less. You can then use that PLR as is and put your name on it as the author. Or you can divide it up, add to it, combine it with other content, create an audio product from it… the sky's the limit! The more creative you are, the more unique your resulting product will be. For online marketers, this can mean a savings of countless hours of work over writing all of their content themselves. Or thousands of dollars in outsourcing fees if they were to hire a professional writer. But before you get started using PLR to grow your business, there are a few things that you need to keep in mind: 1. It's important that you trust the source of the PLR content – Not all PLR content is created equal. There are lots of people publishing inferior content that no marketer in their right mind would use. Remember, once you put your name on the content, your potential customer’s think that you wrote it. If it's not well written, informative and interesting you'll make a bad impression. Even if you're just using the content on your website to improve search engine rankings, it has to be good quality because prospects will be reading it and judging you based on it. 2. The best use for PLR is not article site submissions – Submitting
articles to article directories can be a great promotion strategy. And in the early days of PLR that is primarily how people used the content. But the article directories have gotten smarter and realized that multiple people are submitting the exact same articles. This makes the directory look bad – so they've tightened up their policies and no longer allow this. But that's alright, because that's probably the worst use of PLR content. It just makes you look bad if you're publishing the exact same article as someone else. Instead, smart marketers are using PLR content to create their own unique products. Customers are less likely to notice any overlap in the information if you do this well. 3. Combining PLR is the easiest way to use it – If you use a piece of PLR content exactly as is, the odds are that you'll be competing directly with someone else who is offering the same product. However, if you add other pieces of PLR content then you can create something that is uniquely yours. You still don't have to do any writing, yet you have a product with different information then your competitors are offering. PLR content truly is a great way to get the content you need for your business. It's affordable, easily accessible and flexible. Whether you need content for your blog or want to create a complete product line, PLR is the perfect choice!
7 Steps to Creating Your Own Product within Hours
When it comes to making money online, having your own product line can put you miles ahead of the competition. But if you're like most online business owners, creating a complete product line will take hundreds of hours of your time, or thousands of dollars of your money! That's why I put together this step-by-step plan to show you how to create your own product as quickly as possible. Step #1: Decide on Your Topic – Chances are you already have a niche area that you're focusing on. If not, that's the place to start. To do this, consider topics that you already have some interest in. Then browse the search engines, forums and even sites such as Clickbank and eBay to see what type of demand there is. Step #2: Find the Content – I'm a big believer in using Private Label Rights (PLR) content as much as possible. It's an affordable way to get some really unique content that you can use as your own. There are lots of sources of PLR so do a bit of research to find a few that will give you a variety of information on the same topic. Step #3: Decide how you'll use the content – There are many different types of products that you can create. A good idea is to have several options at different price points so that your customers have a good selection to choose from. This will also encourage them to purchase more than one product! When using PLR content, you can easily take articles and combine them to create a special report, eBook or mini-course. For higher end products, record them to create an audio product or have them printed as a physical product. If you've found a great PLR eBook but want to do something different, add additional articles to it, or bundle it with an audio to create a complete product. The key is to be creative and think about what will be of interest to your target audience. Step #4: Combine content to create a unique product – As was mentioned briefly in step #3, combining PLR content is a great way to create a product
that is uniquely yours. Although others have access to the content separately, chances are that how you choose to combine it will be something that only you do. Select related information from several sources to create a comprehensive product. Step #5: Add some of your own flare – If you've combined PLR content from several sources to create your product, it's not necessary to rewrite everything. But adding your own personal touch is always a great way to engage your customers. This can even be as simple as writing an opening and closing letter that gives your spin on the information presented. Step #6: Get some feedback on your product – Always have a few people read over your product before you release it to the public. This can be a spouse, friend or colleague although if you choose potential customers you'll get better feedback. And you may even get a couple of testimonials that you can use in your marketing materials. Step #7: Put together a sales letter – Some PLR content comes with prewritten sales letters. Since you will have added some additional information you'll need to modify these materials. Or, sit down and write your own sales letter that highlights all of the benefits of your product. Repeat these steps for multiple products at different price points and you'll soon have a complete product line. It doesn't get any easier than that!
How to Use PLR Content to Blow Your Competition Out of the Water
Does it seem like you spend the majority of your time (or money!) on content creation? Website content, newsletter content, blog content, new products, mini-courses, special reports… the list goes on! Or worse, maybe you don't devote time or money to developing content. In this case, you're missing out on a huge opportunity. As they say, "content is king online". To help them overcome the hurdle of producing content, smart marketers are turning to Private Label Rights (PLR) articles, eBooks and special reports. It's a very affordable way to keep up with all the content that a successful site needs. But PLR content could be doing even more… Most people using PLR are just scratching the surface of what this awesome resource can do. They're submitting articles to article directories and creating Adsense sites instead of focusing on where the real money is. Chances are that if your competitors are using PLR content, they're missing out on some golden opportunities as well. What smart marketers know is that PLR content is a great secret weapon to blow your competition out of the water. Here are some ways that PLR content can put you a step ahead of the others in your industry: 1. Fast Product Creation – Products are where the money is. It gives you complete control over your image and lets you keep a higher percentage of the profits. Using PLR content you can create a product within hours instead of months. 2. More Complete Product Lines – The more products you have for sale, the more money you will make. It really is as simple as that. Because once a
customer purchases one product from you and is satisfied with it, he or she is significantly more likely to make another purchase. By having a complete line of products on the same topic you'll greatly increase your backend sales. 3. Both Free and Paid Products – PLR content is a great way to create both free and paid content. This gives you options for building your list and participating in giveaway events while at the same time having a line of products that you sell. 4. Other Content – Whether you need content for your website, blog or newsletter, PLR is the quickest and easiest way to get it done. Although some PLR will need to be rewritten, you can also combine information from different sources to create longer articles that need very little rewriting. 5. Free up Resources – When you spend less time and money on creating products and other content, you'll have more resources to focus on promoting your site. Watch your traffic go through the roof when you're devoting 75% of your time to attracting visitors instead of writing. If you're not already using PLR content to grow your business, now is the time to start. There are so many opportunities to save time and money while at the same time propelling your business forward at lightning speed. The key is to just get out there and do it!
Where to Get Private Label Rights There are many places now offering private label rights content where you can buy 1 or two eBooks or articles at a time. And there are also several (I mean a lot) monthly membership sites where you pay a monthly fee and receive a certain number of private label products and or articles each month.
