THE DUG-OUT
“A warm welcome to Scott Booth and everyone at Glasgow City for this afternoon’s SWPL1 fixture which is live on BBC Sport Scotland. Glasgow City had a comprehensive win at Celtic last week and will be chasing for the title and Champions League spot.
Most other teams would struggle to lose the players they have, Mr Booth has strengthened well, the live fixture gives the game a bit of an extra special feeling. We are looking for the players to give a good account of themselves, hopefully it’s a positive result as we aren’t here just to make up the numbers. We like players to positive and happy at training sessions throughout the week and the mood is positive at the minute, we have some good characters around the club. Enjoy the game.” Kevin McGreskin
FCLUB NEWS McVarnock eager for green light Leontia McVarnock admits she is waiting in the wings for the International Clearance to be approved. The Irish creator is in Forfar awaiting the green light to sign for the club and pull on the Forfar strip. McVarnock has taken part in training sessions and friendly matches. “I am really enjoying my time here at Forfar so far, the training is of a high intensity and the town is good as well. “I am hoping that this deal is sorted soon, the club have done everything on their behalf but here’s hoping I get the green light soon.” “Kevin McGreskin and everyone else have been really supportive during this time. I came to Forfar to play football and everyone has welcomed me in well and hopefully we get this resolved soon.”
Taylor makes premier debut Charlotte Taylor enjoyed her premier team debut after last week’s 3-2 win over Motherwell, she spoke after that win in Lanarkshire by saying, “I thought it went well & we got the run which helped, Kevin said to do my best before I came on as I am playing against top quality players every week. “You need to put in your best at all times, being with the prem squad is challenging and any game time you get is an advantage.”
