FORMA DESIGN PARTNERS We are a landscape architecture and planning firm based in Denver, Colorado. Our emphasis on hospitality and resort projects spans a diverse range of high profile projects, from branded luxury hotels and private equity resorts to familly-owned boutique hotels. We are a creative team who are passionate about design and understand that every project is unique. From tropical pools and water features in Hawaii, to the Mediterranean gardens of northern California, we strive to create an experience that is authentic, thought-provoking, and engaging.

FIRM PROFILE

LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE We offer a wide range of design services for a variety of project types, from small-scale intimate gardens to major site development projects. Our services include concept and schematic design through construction documents and construction observation.

HOSPITALITY DESIGN Our team specializes in designing a variety of hospitality environments, from boutique hotels to large scale destination properties. We place a strong emphasis on the communication of ideas in order to establish a collaborative design process and build a productive relationship with the project team.

RESORT MASTER PLANNING Our master planning services will examine multiple land use opportunities for resort properties in a variety of destinations to help the Client best understand the site’s full potential.

SITE PLANNING We engage with the design team at the start of a project to assist in siting the buildings and amenities. We provide a wide variety of environmental assessments to understand how to best utilize the site and minimize the impact of the development on its natural features and systems.

RENOVATION & RESTORATION Our team is experienced in the renovation and restoration of resort and hotel properties that often coincides with new ownership or the repositioning of an existing property. We can provide landscape assessments and phasing plans to assist the client in understanding the level of investment that will work within their capital budget.

DESIGN CHARRETTE The design charrette is a high-intensity collaborative process set within the context of the site, where conceptual ideas are rapidly exchanged by the project team with the goal of establishing a shared vision for the project.

PROJECT VISIONING Our team will assist the client in creating visual material that captures the essence of the project for the purpose of presenting their vision to stake holders, potential investors, or prospective buyers.

PRIVATE PALACE

ABU DHABI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES

Th landscape design for this residential palace located on the southcoast of Abu Dhabi Island creates a modern interpretation of traditionalIslamic garden principals. A key component of the design is a lotuspools that surround the Main Villa and the courtyard that creates theillusion of a building floating on water. The site plan incorporates twoseparate living villas, a shared dining pavilion, health club, caidal tent,sports court, swimming pool, multiple gardens experiences, 14 customwater features and an event lawn. Mature plant material has been handselected to provide visual interest by using cultural traditions, foliagetexture and decorative patterning. Over 1/3rd of the site is design onstructureand is crafted in a way that privides separate experiences,while utilizing microclimates that protects the family from the intenseclimate.

WATER GARDEN

NORTH KONA, HAWAII

When the homeowners bought the original residence, the adjacentproperty was available for sale. After acquiring the additional lot andcombining them, Geesey Architects designed two additional cottagesuites and a large open air pavilion intended for entertaining. Thedesign blends the two properties with complimentary water featuresand lush gardens connected by lawn and pathways. The rainfall soundof the water features is a unifying element throughout the property.

OWL CREEK RESIDENCE

SNOWMASS VILLAGE, COLORADO

A pristine mountain bluff overlooking the Snowmass Club andGolf Course provided an amazing opportunity to craft a strikingarchitectural statement. We were hired to develop a landscape designthat complimented the bold jestures, while massaging the landformwith weathered corten steel walls to embrace the angular forms. Achallanging task itself, there was added neighborhood pressureto preserve as many of the native Gamble Oaks that screened theneighborhood from the road below and the valley beyond. We alsocollaborated on the adjacent neighbors property to develop a sharedlandscape buffer that assists with drainage, while creating privacybetween the properties.

MONTECITO HOUSE

MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA

The gardens of this Montecito home reflect the cool Mediterraneanclimate of the southern Californian coast. Native plants along theperiphery of the property provide a seamless transition to theextensive views of the surrounding hills. Due to the drought conditionsin California at the start of the project, the majority of plants werechosen for their adaptability to low water use, many of them native tothe region.
