forté is sustainable we re-plant what we use.
We at Forté pride ourselves on being a sustainable company that has a positive impact on the environment. We supply genuine Timber Flooring sourced from European and French forests, although these forests are ethically maintained, it is important for us to give back through to the environment through reforestation. This year we are planting 2,000 French Oak trees in the Forest of Forté. By re-planting what we use, Forté are benefiting the environment by:
• Reducing climate change
Climate Change is caused by greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation is responsible for 17% of these.
• Restoring degraded forests
We are replacing a natural resource, the goal is that more trees are planted than cut.
• Creating Fresh Air
And offsetting our CO2 Emissions - Trees absorb and store CO2 and other dangerous gasses.
• Helping to prevent flora and fauna extinction
Uncontrolled deforestation is the main cause of flora and fauna species extinction.
• Creating employment
Planting trees and maintaining forests create numerous jobs For more information, please visit www.forteflooring.co.nz/environmental

geo. Trend monitors are in agreement that the geometric patterns in flooring and walls are going to be the big thing this year. Fun and decorative, these planks can be as elaborate or as subtle as you wish to suit the interior space. Contrasting planks can create attractive patterns and can even be mixed with various materials, textures and colours for effect. View FortĂŠ's range of unfinished parquet patterns (pages 51 & 55 ) and the new Smartfloor pre-finished herringbone (page 39). Please contact our customer care team for Mosaico enquiries.

farmhouse. Rustic and distressed flooring has been a popular choice for quite some time, but the recent demand has increased dramatically. Technologies such as hand scraping, and wirebrushing can now be used to create raw and authentically natural planks which add warmth and texture to interiors. The distinctive feel of the deep grain underfoot is sought by those seeking luxury.

wider and wider. This popular trend is now wider than ever. These extravagant planks bring unique beauty to interiors and can even be used as a means to make an area look larger. To bring luxury, cosiness and rustic qualities to a space, wide plank is a great option. – Makes modern homes look more contemporary and older homes look more rustic and authentic. Forte's Atelier Grande collection offers wide and long planks in a variety of colours, please see page 13.

monochrome. The classic beauty of black and white has been around for many years, and has become a basis for some stunning interiors. Black, white and grey can create the perfect back drop for interiors, allowing you to play around with different accent colours and textures to take the area to the next level. Black stained floors make a room look chic and sophisticated, where as adding grey to your floor can add freshness and elegance. millboard Introducing the new range of Premium Decking
Composite vs. Millboard Decking Hand-moulded
• • • •
Virtually maintenance-free Incredibly resilient and durable Hidden screw system Extremely realistic, moulded from genuine timber
Millboard believe that there is nothing to compare with the appearance of timber's natural grain. They have spent years perfecting an outdoor alternative that's just as attractive as the real thing, without the flaws of natural products. Millboard combines the natural beauty of real Timber with the high-performance of our unique wood-free material. Where even the highest quality hardwood can warp, fade and quickly loose its original appeal, Millboard is crafted with using a composite, designed for outdoor conditions. Made from Lastane™. the textured top surface creates a resilient, virtually maintenancefree layer, designed to resist algae and prevent slipping, even in wet conditions. 24
Many composite decking boards are formed by extrusion, where the raw materials are mixed and forced through an opening that determines the shape of the end product. Millboard decking is hand-moulded from original timber, then hand-coloured by our craftsmen, resulting in a far more authentic wood finish – you’d hardly know it wasn’t wood without close inspection.
No Wood
Most composite decking combines plastic with wood fibres. But Millboard decking is made from wood-free polyurethane combined with mineral stone to create a unique resin mineral board that’s tough enough for use in outdoor environments all year round. One of the most stable resin materials, it won’t warp or rot, and there is minimal movement in the boards. And because it has no wood content at all, there is nothing that can be affected by damp or attacked by insect larvae. In spite of its unique composition, Millboard decking is easy to work with and can be sawn and cut with standard woodworking tools. No pre-drilling is required for fixings, and Millboard’s unique Lastane™ surface even seals itself back over the heads of our special Durafix® screws to create a clean ‘lost head’ effect.

t&c's. Buyers Awareness Batch Variation - There may be colour variation between batches. It is recommended to request a current batch sample if this is of concern to you. Please note: There will colour variation within batches that cannot be represented from a small sample. Colour and Grain Variation - Wood is a natural product and each piece will vary in colour and grain. Please understand that product will differ to what is shown by a display panel or sample. This variation is part of the natural look and should not be considered a fault. Fading/darkening over time - Natural wood products react to sunlight, resulting in fading or darkening over time. For example, a natural coloured oak turns more golden from sunlight exposure. This is a naturally occurring process and is not considered a product fault. In general, lighter colours tend to darken while darker colours are more likely to fade. Pricing Please enquire for pricing. FortĂŠ retain the right to alter any pricing at any time without notice.
