Sustainability is our watchword and protecting the environment our top priority. Together we can show how much we care about our world.
What are we looking for today when we go on a holiday? What do we want from the places we visit so that they will remain as wonderful memories for years to come? We certainly want an elegant and exclusive atmosphere, but not at all cost. Choosing Forte Village means spoiling yourself without spoiling your future. Environmental protection is right at the top of our priorities and we are very serious about our new claim, “We are green”.
And we want to be more and more so, not just for our benefit, but also for yours and for those who care about you. So, for example, all transport within Forte Village is only by bicycle or by electric golf car.
There are more than three thousand species of plants in this area of the Sardinian coast and our team of 80 gardeners are constantly developing the grounds with sustainability at the forefront of any garden plan or design.
At Forte Village we do not just talk about respect for the environment but we back up our words with actions. From energy-saving measures to separate waste collection for recycling and the creation of a dam where we can collect and save water, purify it and then reuse it, all our projects are
designed to promote and sustain the wellbeing of mankind. We continually strive to support the local economy and culture and are constantly looking to develop a quality of life that will safeguard our future. Our colleagues are originally from the island, while our architects and the materials they use are local and reflect the Sardinian style.
Think of Sardinia and you think about food: our top produce, the delicious ingredients we love to share with friends, come from local farms and fishermen. At Forte Village, we have created a vegetable garden just for you, bursting with fresh, top-quality produce. Last but not least, our Piazza Luisa, in the heart of the resort, houses shops where you can buy local arts and crafts. We can honestly say that at Forte Village, the “zero miles” philosophy has become a reality.
But we are not just thinking about the here and now; we are passionate about investing in tomorrow and the generations to come. Here we believe that beautiful surroundings can enhance learning. To that end we hold the postgraduate university course Five Stars Hotel Management, as well as the Master in Food & Wine Operations Management course that trains professionals in the luxury food and wine sector. In collaboration with the Luiss Business School in Rome, we have created the Hotel Business School where Italian and foreign students can learn to excel in the field of hospitality.
