Property Management
Now is the time for the steady hand of a professional agent.
As we move through turbulent economic times it is important to remember it is the events in the lives of individuals which have the most influence on property decisions. These can be neatly categorised as the A – D of the property market.

A is for ambition – the personal ambition to live somewhere better, bigger, smaller, prettier, more convenient, or simply closer to or further from family…. The reasons are endless and personal.
B is for birth – as families grow they look for more accommodation.
C is for consolidation – people wanting to cohabit or downsize after children have left. D is for death, divorce and debt – the infamous three events that stimulate a high proportion of movement in the market.
When external factors are unpredictable it is important to seek the advice of a calm, experienced property professional who has seen these events and circumstances previously and can guide you through. Not only when it comes to buying and selling but also as a landlord or tenant.
Everyone needs somewhere to live and whilst prices will rise and fall, there will always be a market driven by personal circumstance. The steady hand of an experienced estate agent will ensure you get the best out of the market when you need to.

Bishop’s Waltham Wins Yet Again
Following on from being awarded Village of the Year in 2019, Bishop’s Waltham has had yet another win in the Hampshire Association of Local Government Awards. This time (and 2022 was the first time the awards had been run since 2019 due to the pandemic), we won the accolade for “Best Community Event of the Year” for our Tudor Experience Commemoration of Henry VIII visiting Bishop’s Waltham 500 years ago.
As the winner of the 2019 Hampshire and Isle of Wight Village of the Year Award, it was our pleasure to host the 2022 Village of the Year Award Ceremony in Bishop’s Waltham on 29th September. In a whistle stop presentation by 16 community representatives we presented to the audience what makes Bishop’s Waltham so special and why we won the Village of the Year Award in 2019.
In 2022, we decided to nominate ourselves for the Community Event of the Year, leaving other Hampshire and Isle of Wight villages to compete for the overall Village of the Year Award. It was won by Odiham Parish in North Hampshire, for demonstrating a wealth of services benefiting their community. We were delighted to win the Best Community Event of the Year Award, competing against other villages in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. Our entry was recognized both for the partnership approach used to organize the event in which the Bishop’s Waltham Society, the Town Team and the Museum came together to form the Planning Group and share the load. The judges were also very impressed by the involvement of so many local people and organisations – community organisations, the traders and the hundreds of volunteers who helped to lay it on. We were able to show the audience the film that was produced of the

Councillor Judy Marsh, Chairman of the Bishop’s Waltham Parish Council said “this award is a very deserved recognition of all the hard work and creativity that was put in by so many people to make the commemoration of Henry VIII’s visit to Bishop’s Waltham 500 years ago, such a successful event. It is a shining example of what working together can achieve; and everyone who was involved should feel very proud of the part they played in it”
