What does it mean to your business to win this award, especially because it is customers who voted for you?

“It’s just wonderful,” President Matt Leiseth said. “We have several thousand team members who are working hard every day. … It’s just so rewarding to hear that the hard work that these team members are doing every day is recognized by the community, and especially the last 12 months of this 20-month pandemic that they’ve been going through.”

What do customers say about you that sets you apart from others in this category?

“I think it starts with that customer service piece,” Leiseth said, adding customer service has been a cornerstone of Hornbachers since it was founded. “It’s really about making those connections to guests.”

What does it mean to your business to win this award, especially because it is customers who voted for you?

“It’s a humble thought. I was looking back at all the years customers voted for us,” Store Leader Mark Hulbert said. “It’s something that makes us appreciate our customers for thinking that much about us.”

What do you love most about this community?

“I think one of the most gratifying things for me and our people is the relationships we get to build over the years,” Hulbert said. “That’s the kind of atmosphere that people want — more than just a transaction but a relationship.”

How does your business stay involved in the community?

“We give our time and talents to many area schools and educational programs including: a development scholarship for Minnesota State Community and Technical College, assistance with the Home Builder’s Association Herdina Academy for construction, home and jobsite tours for the North Dakota State University Home Builders Association Student Chapter, North Dakota State College of Science students and various high schools,” Leslie said.

What do you love about your job?

RC Homes is a full design and construction service business. The company’s staff and owners have rehabbed over 20 homes in the Fargo-Moorhead area. “We thoroughly enjoy helping to bring our clients’ ideas to life,” Owner Ryan C. Dietrich said. How does it feel to win?
