How does it feel to win?

“It is an honor to win this category,” Marketing Lead Caryn Olson said. “We strive every day to be the best retailer in the eyes of our customers, associates, and business partners. SCHEELS is so very grateful for the support we receive in the FargoMoorhead community.”

What does SCHEELS do to stay involved in the community?

“Giving back is at the center of SCHEELS culture,” Olson said. “One of our goals at SCHEELS is to make the communities that all of our stores operate in better places to live. This is something we take very seriously and are committed to this goal by empowering our employee-owners to be proactive about donating their time, energy and resources.”

46 & 2 Tattoo has left more than a permanent mark on just its customers. This is the fourth year in a row the business has won Best Tattoo Shop in the Red River Valley.

How does it feel to win?

“We are so thankful and humbled to receive the Best Thrift Store award again this year,” Retail Operations Vice President Lisa Olson said. “Our first priority is to raise funds to support the programs for the kids served by the Ranch. Our staff and volunteers work hard and to receive this positive recognition is very appreciated.”

How has the pandemic impacted your organization over the last year?

“Like most businesses, we have felt the laborcrunch. We have had to modify some of our ‘preCovid’ operations, which includes a modification of store/donor hours,” she said. “On a positive note, we have been receiving a large amount of donated items, for which we are truly grateful!” honorable mentions honorable mentions honorable mentions

How can people best help your organization?

“The best way to help our organization is to continue to donate saleable goods and shop in any of our physical store locations or our online shops (Ebay, Poshmark, Etsy, Amazon), so we can continue to support Ranch kids,” Olson said.
