Holidays Bremerhaven
Germany Bremerhaven

Bremen’s little sister started life as merely a port for accessing the major city. However, Bremerhaven has seen much development in recent years, turning it into a destination in its own right, whether that be as part of a daytrip from Bremen or a dedicated break. Continuing the maritime theme, most of the main sights can be found in the harbour area. Whilst the chiming of ropes against ship masts can be heard on the wind, your view is dominated by unique-looking architecture. The German Emigration Centre and the Klimahaus are award-winning, state-of-the-art exhibitions dealing with current top-notch topics and are truly worth a visit. On a pleasant day, the kilometre long dyke is a great spot to stroll or gaze out into the mouth of the Weser or, if the rain comes, the Mein Outlet & Shopping Centre offers some retail respite.
