Or explore Alaska’s quietly sophisticated state capital, where Russian style onion-domed churches are a feature in the city’s turn of the century streets. Day 5 – Skagway Stroll around Skagway, a genuine Klondike Gold Rush town, with perfectly preserved boardwalks and saloons from the days of the prospectors. Day 6 – Cruising Glacier Bay Jagged glaciers, giant ice flows and dramatic ice rivers form an awe-inspiring backdrop to a day of slow cruising along the 60 miles of breathtaking Glacier Bay – a favoured haunt of the humpback whale. Nothing prepares you for the stark and stunning beauty of this inaccessible and inhospitable corner of the world. A park ranger will be on hand to explain the phenomena of glaciers. Day 7 – Scenic Cruising A leisurely day at sea onboard your elegant ship.
