Our Vision At AmaWaterways, we love working to provide our guests with only the best travel experiences. In fact, “Ama” is derived from the Latin word for “love” – an energy that we put into crafting every aspect of our river cruises. It is this passion that fuels our attention to detail, commitment to innovation and culture of making our guests our top priority. This is something you can feel from the moment you step on board, which is why all of our guests have a story about why their cruise with AmaWaterways was the best they’ve ever taken. With award-winning ships that feature an array of amenities, a variety of immersive shore excursions, critically-acclaimed dining and unparalleled service, AmaWaterways cruises are a traveller’s dream. We truly love having our guests on board, and it shows.

The Family Difference Our company has been family-owned and operated since 2002 by travel industry pioneers: President Rudi Schreiner, Executive Vice President Kristin Karst, Co-founder Jimmy Murphy, and his son, Gary Murphy. Together, they have made AmaWaterways the most distinctive line in the entire industry. Their hands-on approach to management allows us to give attention to every detail, making an AmaWaterways river cruise truly stand out from the rest. When you travel with AmaWaterways, you do more than simply visit a destination – you experience it in a truly authentic and in-depth way. It begins with a champagne welcome as you step aboard and meet our courteous crew and your fellow passengers, many of whom you will consider friends by the end of your journey. You will also meet a personable and knowledgeable Cruise Manager who will be with you every step of the way, even on your optional precruise or post-cruise land programme. It is this attention to detail that distinguishes AmaWaterways from all the rest and keeps our satisfied guests coming back again and again. We thoughtfully plan our itineraries to maximise your enjoyment of the scenery, history, and atmosphere of your chosen destination. Marvel at the ever-changing views through the panoramic windows in your ship’s Main Lounge or from our expansive outdoor decks. Visit famous landmarks and explore “hidden gems.” Taste bold new flavours and delicious regional specialties, with menus designed by our revered team of classically-trained chefs. And every evening, onboard entertainment is provided by local musicians and performers.

6

www.fredrivercruises.co.uk/amawaterways

Spacious The personal space and comfort of our guests are of the utmost importance to us. We carry fewer people on board so that staterooms and public spaces, such as lounges and restaurants, are roomy and never overcrowded. This also allows our crew to embrace a proactive approach to exceeding expectations and dedicate their time to focusing on the needs of each and every guest.

Innovative

Many of our staterooms feature twin balconies – a French balcony and an outside balcony – and these can be found on a number of our ships in a variety of stateroom categories. Innovation continues to be a driving force in every new vessel we design. We invest a great deal of time into building our ships because we want each one to be perfect, down to every last detail. We also enhance and refresh our existing ships every year so that guests receive a consistent experience no matter which major European waterway they choose to cruise on.

Our Expanding Fleet

Every year, we build ships that feature our latest innovations and enhancements. In 2017, we will welcome the AmaKristina, which – like the AmaViola – will feature staterooms that can accommodate three guests and suites that can hold up to four. Along with AmaSerena and AmaStella, these ships also have staterooms with connecting doors, making it easier for groups and families to travel together. Innovation continues to be a driving force in every new vessel we design.

From our travelogue... Bordeaux is made up of several subregions. Each subregion has its own strictly governed appellation, unique climate and terroir that define it. Unlike most wines around the world, the quality of Bordeaux wine is determined by these factors rather than the grape varietal.

FEATURED EXCURSION ~ BOURG WINE FESTIVAL Enjoy a "wine festival" held exclusively for AmaWaterways’ guests. Experience the hospitality of this charming medieval village. Wines from the appellation of Cotes du Bourg, local snacks and a live performance of typical French music will make for a great atmosphere. The ship will remain overnight in Bourg.
