Press release New Amadeus Queen cruise ship to strengthen the fleet from 2018 • Amadeus River Cruises 15th river cruise ship • Will operate on the Danube, Rhine, Main and Dutch and Belgian waterways • 135m premium ship with 12 Suites and 69 staterooms The company launched the Amadeus Provence in 2017 with its christening in Lyon in April and now Amadeus River Cruises has already announced the building of another ship: The Amadeus Queen, the 15th river cruise ship of the Austrian ship operator, will tour the Danube, Rhine and Main rivers as well as Dutch and Belgian waterways from spring 2018. Similar to its prominent predecessors, this ship will also continue the company’s orientation to high quality river cruises in Europe. “In the building of this new ship, we, in close cooperation with the renowned Dutch shipyard De Hoop – probably the most creative builder for river ships – aimed to orientate ourselves to the award-winning model of the Amadeus Silver ships and also innovatively further develop the Amadeus Queen. The popular concept of spaciousness has been maintained. This includes not only generous public areas but also spacious cabins: 12 large suites impress with an outdoor balcony and a cozy reading corner whilst the 70 standard cabins mainly have panoramic window fronts which can be automatically lowered and luxurious bathrooms. A new on-board highlight is the indoor pool, the roof of which can be opened in fine weather. In the evenings, this area may also be used for informative talks, functions and cinema showings,” explains Marcus Leskovar, Managing Director of Amadeus River Cruises. On more than 15 brochure departures, guests of the Amadeus Queen are able to go on fascinating journeys of discovery on Europe’s most scenic rivers: the programme includes the 7 night Tulip Cruise in the Spring (from £1204pp*), the traditional 7 night Danube cruise from/to Passau (from £1260pp*) as well as the outstanding 14 night “Across Europe” cruise from Amsterdam to Budapest (from £2653pp*). *Prices are cruise only, per person and include a 15% early booking discount which expires on the 30th November 2017.
