Take this year’s holiday beyond the ordinary with a Uniworld Generations specialised family river cruise. Simply step aboard, unpack once and let Uniworld chart a course for European adventure, history and fun for the entire family. With onboard and onshore experiences specially designed for each destination, there’s no better way to introduce young people to Europe’s most spectacular cities, where the memories you’ll make will be shared for generations.

Dedicated Family Hosts Onboard Two dedicated Family Hosts for Junior Cruisers (ages 4-11 years) and Young Cruisers (ages 12-18 years) will supervise and coordinate engaging onboard activities, giving parents opportunities to enjoy romantic evenings or go to the Serenity River Spa™ for a relaxing treatment while the kids are having fun and making new friends.

Local Guides Onshore, our select local guides are sensitive to the needs of children and teens and are trained to adjust their guiding styles to young travellers’ attention spans, always making excursions as active, engaging and hands-on as possible.

Young Ambassadors Every itinerary features onboard visits from local junior guests (children and teens) who will introduce you to the daily life of local cultures, such as Germany, Austria and Italy. Uniworld’s “Curious Minds” cultural chats include insight into their lives, such as school, sports and social activities.

Fresh Perspectives River cruising with kids allows even well-travelled grown-ups to explore Europe in a fresh new way. Young travellers make great cultural liaisons, opening doors to serendipitous and unforgettable experiences. And they cruise for half price, too!

Young Citizens of the World We believe that international travel plants the seeds of greater understanding, tolerance and compassion for others, preparing young people to be global citizens and inspiring them to make the world a better place.

Set a course for

adventure.

River cruise ships are very unique and much different than large ocean-going vessels. One of most the intriguing things about them is their small size. Many rivers and canals in Europe are connected to each other through a series of concrete locks, and ships have to be able to fit inside each lock; at 443 feet, it’s a tight squeeze. River cruise ships can’t be too tall either, as they have to fit under bridges. The ships are ingeniously designed so that the top of the ship can collapse if water levels are too high, which allows enough space for the ship to slip through. When the top doesn’t collapse, have fun on deck as the ship sails under majestic bridges and through the grand canals. Because of their small size, river cruise ships can go where larger ships can’t—this is one of the best things about river cruising. Our ships are like floating hotels that carry you from town to town, with lots of wonderful things and beautiful scenery to see along the way. Once the ship arrives in port—often docking in the historic heart of grand cities and small towns—you can step right off the ship and immediately start exploring.

YOUR FLIGHT

Your agreement is with Uniworld River Cruises Limited (“Uniworld”), Company Number 58915, a company registered in Guernsey whose registered office address is Travel House, Rue du Manoir, St Peter Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands GY1 2JH. A contract will come into existence between us when you make a booking with us. All contracts with Uniworld are made subject to the terms of these booking conditions and are governed by English law and the jurisdiction of the English Courts, you may however, choose the jurisdiction of Scotland or Northern Ireland if you wish to do so. The invalidity of any provisions herein shall not affect the validity of any other provisions. The agreement shall be construed as though the invalid provision was not contained herein and was replaced with an enforceable provision as similar as possible to the original provision. Prices: Prices are in Pound Sterling, per person, twin-share and based on costs, tariffs, rates, taxes, charges, levies and exchange rates as of 01 August 2015. Should these change, the price of your holiday may increase. We will not increase the price of your holiday after we receive your deposit save for where there are increases in transportation costs (including cruise and airline-imposed fuel surcharges), taxes, dues, charges, fees or levies imposed by any government or its agencies and any changes to airport taxes or fees. If this means paying more than 10% on the holiday price, you will be entitled to cancel your holiday with a full refund of all money paid. There will be no change to the price within 30 days of your departure date. Reservations and Payments: Your booking will be confirmed on receipt of a non-refundable deposit of £250 per person which must be received within three (3) days of booking or the booking will automatically be cancelled. If the balance is not paid when due, we reserve the right to cancel your travel arrangements and retain your deposit. Credit Card Bookings: Uniworld must be provided with your credit card number when making your booking directly with us. The booking is not confirmed until the credit card transaction is completed. For security purposes, we collect the guests’ credit card billing address and customer verification code. Please note that Uniworld does not charge any additional fees when using a Credit Card. Funds paid to a Travel Agent for all passengers included in the booking will be held by the Agent on our behalf. Once the booking is confirmed, the Travel Agent will promptly transfer the funds to Uniworld, along with any accrued interest. If your flight arrangements arrive/depart outside of the guidelines, you may purchase a private car transfer from Uniworld or make your own transfer arrangements. Private transfers are only available on the cruise and cruise/tour start/end dates. Uniworld will not be responsible for late arrivals or missed transfers due to delayed or cancelled flights, for missed cruise/tour days or for extra costs resulting from the foregoing. Air Reservations: Uniworld wants to help make your entire travel experience as seamless as possible, so we offer a service to arrange UK flights at the time of booking. Clients booking their own flights need to check with their reservations specialist to ensure flights are booked into and out of the correct airports. Some cities have more than one airport and transfers operate out of specific airport. Changes to flight itineraries, airlines and name changes may result in charges by Uniworld and/or the airline concerned being passed on to the passenger. Any airline delays or itinerary changes causing you to miss the cruise or cruise/tour start date will be your responsibility to connect with the group and any additional costs will be your responsibility and not Uniworld. Any airline seat requests cannot be guaranteed. Many airlines now require the full name of all passengers travelling. Where you are booking a package holiday including flights, we will therefore ask you at the time of booking to provide us with the full names of each member of your party, together with their passport number, and its date and place of issue. Please ensure that the names provided are exactly as stated in the relevant passport. In accordance with EU Regulation 2111/2005 we are required to advise you of the actual carrier operating your flight/connecting flight/ transfer. Any changes to the actual airline after you have received your tickets will be notified to you as soon as possible and in all cases at check-in or at the boarding gate. Air Cancellation: For airline arrangements made by Uniworld, cancellation charges will apply of £50 per person plus any airline imposed penalties which may be up to 100% of the air ticket value. Airline Availability: Seats are limited in our contracted class of service and may not be available on every flight. Uniworld does not hold block space on any airline and does not assure seat availability for every single Cruise or Cruise/Tour departure date.

Airline Seating: Not all airlines offer pre-assigned seats. Some may charge for pre assigned seats. Any additional charge imposed by airlines will be at guests’ expense. Where pre-assigned seats are not offered or different seats are desired, guests must contact the airline(s) direct to arrange seating assignments. Seating is solely under the airline’s control, as are itinerary changes due to flight delays and schedule changes. Uniworld reserves the right to offer alternative schedules for itineraries affected by airline schedule changes and equipment. Flight delays, flight cancellation and schedule changes are the responsibility of the airline. Uniworld will not be responsible or liable for such delays, rescheduling or any additional costs incurred. Price Changes: Airlines and other travel providers (including Uniworld) change pricing, and itineraries from time to time. Prior to your booking and paying for travel, all prices and itineraries in this brochure are subject to change at any time. Guest Changes: Changes to flight itineraries and name changes may result in penalties charged by the airline. These are the guest responsibility. Airline Special Requests: Seat assignment and special meal requests can be requested when booking. Uniworld does not assure the request will be granted. Frequent Flyer miles can be accrued on most air carriers. Upgrades using mileage is not permitted. Many airlines do not automatically add frequent flyer numbers to records for flights booked and ticketed by Uniworld. It is therefore the guest responsibility to request frequent flyer credit from the airline. Uniworld shall not be responsible for matters concerning frequent flyer miles. Porterage/Luggage: Uniworld allows one (1) suitcase, one (1) carryon bag, and one (1) personal bag (handbag, computer case, etc.) per person onboard our ships and motorcoaches. Airlines may have luggage restrictions; please check with your air carrier before your flight. Keep an eye on your baggage—it is your responsibility throughout the trip. Uniworld is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to luggage and/or personal belongings. Travel Documents: Uniworld will send you a document packet approximately twenty-one (21) days prior to departure, provided that Uniworld receives your completed Passenger Information Form and your booking is paid in full. If you are leaving home earlier, please ask your Travel Agent to request your travel documents in good time. Passport/Visa: A valid passport is required to travel on all Uniworld programmes. Passports must be valid for at least six (6) months after the scheduled return date of the holiday. You should check with your Travel Agent or Consulate Service for information regarding necessary travel documentation. Any visa(s) or other documentation required for a particular itinerary is the sole responsibility of the guest. Obtaining and carrying these documents is your sole responsibility. Uniworld will not be responsible for advising and/or obtaining required travel documentation for any passenger, or for any delays, damages and/or losses, including missed portions of your trip, related to improper travel documentation. Due to government imposed security/immigration measures, passport information and emergency contact information are required for all passengers prior to release documentation.

BOOKING CHANGES A fee of £50 per person, per change and any further cost we incur will be charged for any revision or alteration made to a bookingafter the booking is confirmed unless the change increased the price of the booking. We will try to make your requested change but it may not be possible. Changes to the itinerary or date made within 75 days of departure date will be treated as a cancellation. Cancellation fees will apply except when the change is to an earlier departure date and the holiday price is equivalent or greater, in which case a £50 (or more) per person amendment fee will be charged. Please note: Changes to the itinerary or date made prior to 75 days of departure can only be made within the same calendar year of their departure date.

Booking Conditions & Important Information Cancellation and Cancellation Fees: Your £250 deposit is non-refundable and cannot be used as a credit towards alternative reservations. Notice of your cancellation must be received in writing by Uniworld. Any change or substitution of a passenger will be deemed a cancellation of the booking and the applicable cancellation charges will be applied. We hope nothing will come between you and your Uniworld holiday. Should you need to cancel your booking or any portion of it, your cancellation must be received in writing. It will be effective on the date of receipt. Cancellation charges, per person and based upon the date of cancellation, are as shown in the following box: Period before departure within which notice of cancellation or major change is received by us or notified to you.

Advanced, Cancelled, or Delayed Sailing: You can count on the value of Uniworld’s experience and regional knowledge to make sure you enjoy your holiday even when conditions beyond our control occur. The very nature of a river, its sources, and networks of bridges and locks, means that there will be times when weather or other conditions in a region require Uniworld to make adjustments and/or modifications to an itinerary. Although every effort will be made to keep itineraries, vessels and hotels as shown in our brochure, Uniworld reserves the right to substitute itineraries, hotels or vessels. In such cases, we will do everything we can to make sure the locations visited, the excursions taken and the hotels or vessels offered are similar to the ones originally planned. We will notify you or your travel agent of changes. If your enjoyment may be diminished by such limitations, please check with us or tour Travel Agent before making a reservation. In the event we do make a major change to your holiday (which does not include, for example, change to aircraft type, change of vessel or change of accommodations to another of the same standard) we will inform you or your Travel Agent as soon as reasonably possible if there is time before your departure date. You will either have the choice of accepting the change of arrangements, accepting of an offer of alternative travel arrangements of comparable standard from us if available (we will refund any price difference if the alternative is of a lower value, but these booking terms and conditions will continue to apply to any alternative booking), or cancelling tour booked holiday and receiving a full refund of all monies paid. Where we make a major change to your holiday, you will also be entitled to compensation unless the change arises for unusual or unforeseeable reason outside of our control (also referred to as reason of “force majeure”. And includes war (and threat of war), riot, industrial dispute, actual or threatened terrorist activity and its consequences, civil disturbances, natural or nuclear disaster, fire, adverse weather conditions, epidemics, pandemics, unavoidable technical problems with transportation and any other similar events). The level of compensation will depend on when we inform you of the

major change, although this does not exclude you from claiming more if you are entitled to do so.

REFUNDS AND PENALTIES: Illness or Absenteeism: In the event of your withdrawal from a cruise or cruise/tour after commencement for reasons of illness, you must obtain a medical certificate in support of any insurance claim. We regret that no refunds can be made for absences from a cruise and cruise/tour, including but not limited to missed meals or sightseeing. Uniworld makes no representation or guarantees concerning reimbursements of funds paid by you under any insurance claim.

GENERAL INFORMATION AND CONDITIONS Cruise and Cruise/Tour Participation: Uniworld trips are exciting, relatively active vacations. While there will be plenty of time to relax, there will also be much to see and do. Your included excursions may require an extensive amount of walking over cobblestone streets, uneven pavement and sometimes steps, so please bring any issues regarding your health or mobility to the attention of Uniworld when making your booking as this could greatly impact your vacation experience. In addition, you should know that while river cruise/tour ships are spacious and elegant they may not have elevators. If you are disabled, a companion who will be responsible for providing any required assistance must accompany you, as Uniworld is unable to provide any individual assistance. Uniworld has sole discretion to decline the booking of any passenger whose condition may affect their own health, safety and enjoyment of that of other passengers. Additionally, Uniworld reserves its right to require a current passenger to end their trip for the aforesaid reasons. Extensions/Land Tours: Uniworld reserves the right to reschedule and/or cancel land extensions or land tours if the minimum number of participants (20 people) is not met or for safety reasons. If you, as the Passenger, choose to cancel your pre- or post-cruise or cruise/tour extension eighty-nine (89) days or less before departure, then please refer to the Cancellation Policy section for the applicable cancellation policy and penalties that will be applied. Medical Issues: Uniworld does not employ staff doctors or nurses. Should you need medical attention, it will be at local facilities, at your expense. Uniworld is not responsible for any costs incurred as a result of medical services, or for the quality of medical care or medical services you receive. Health and Mobility: Uniworld strives to provide a safe, enjoyable, and memorable travel experience for all passengers. Uniworld welcomes passengers with special needs or disabilities. However, please note the following: • Passengers are required to advise Uniworld, in advance, of any physical, medical, or other special needs that require accommodation. • All guests must ensure they are medically and physically fit for travel. Uniworld may impose safety requirements necessary for the safe operation of the tour. Uniworld may also exclude an individual from participating in a tour or an activity if that individual’s participation poses a direct threat to health or safety. • Uniworld does not provide personal devices (such as wheelchairs, hearing aids or prescription eye glasses) or services of a personal nature (such as pushing a wheelchair or assistance in eating, toileting or dressing). A companion capable of providing such assistance must accompany any passenger who requires services of a personal nature. • Uniworld does not employ medical personnel. Any necessary medical attention will be provided by a local facility at the passenger’s expense. Uniworld is not responsible or liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of medical services obtained while on tour, or for the quality of the care or services received. Passengers should be aware some tours include rough terrain, extensive walking over cobblestone streets, uneven pavement, steps and locations which may not be easily accessible or accessible by wheelchair. During the tour, Uniworld may make arrangements

with carriers, hotels and other independent suppliers to provide travel services. These parties are independent entities over which Uniworld has no control. Accommodations on international tours may differ from those in the United Kingdom. Uniworld cannot guarantee disability access or accommodations for passengers travelling on international tours. Uniworld may, in its sole discretion, decline the booking of any passenger or remove any passenger who cannot comply or refuses to comply with the Uniworld’s terms and conditions. Uniworld is not responsible for any costs incurred in the event a passenger is removed from a tour. Passengers agree not to hold Uniworld or any of its related entities liable for any actions taken under these terms and conditions. Travel Insurance: Uniworld recommends that passengers purchase comprehensive travel insurance. Some countries have a requirement for foreign visitors to have valid medical insurance on entry. Uniworld cannot be held responsible if a passenger is denied entry for being unable to provide details to the authorities of such insurance. Young Travellers: Guests who are less than 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult who is 21 years of age or older. Our Generations program is for ages 4-18. Please note: Our Generations program departures include programs and services designed for families travelling with children. Adults accompanying children are responsible for their behavior onboard and onshore. Smoking Policy: For the comfort of all our Guests, smoking is only permitted on the sun decks of our ships. Smoking is not permitted on motorcoaches. This policy applies to all forms of smoking materials, including vapour e-cigarettes. Diets: Please advise the Uniworld reservation agent of specific dietary considerations and we will do our best to accommodate your request. Please also indicate your needs when you complete the Passenger Information Form at uniworld.com. Pets: Pets are not permitted on Uniworld trips.
