Today's manufacturing industry requires flexibility and short lead times for the development and introduction of new products. In the realization of foundry projects Gemco engineers are often asked if and how the ramp-up time can be reduced. From our consulting works we have extensive experience with product optimization, scrap rate reduction and quality improvement, which are the important aspects also addressed in the whole ramp-up process. When combining the (ramp-up) support and realization expertise with the consulting expertise in those production and process steps, Production Technology Development basically came about "organically" within our range of services. To shorten the start-up time as an added layer to a realization project, but also as a service in its own right.

Fortschrittliche Fertigungsindustrie erfordert Flexibilität und kurze Vorlaufzeiten für die Entwicklung und Einführung neuer Produkte. Bei der Realisierung von Gießereiprojekten werden Gemco-Ingenieure oft um Ideen zur Anlaufzeitverkürzung gebeten. Aus der Kundenberatung haben wir umfangreiche Erfahrung mit Produktoptimierung, Reduzierung der Ausschussrate und Qualitätsverbesserung, wichtige Schritte, die im gesamten Anlaufprozess erfolgreich zu meistern sind. Aus der (Anlauf-)Betreuung und Realisierungskompetenz kombiniert mit jahrelanger Beratertätigkeit ist Produktionstechnologieentwicklung „organisch“ in unserem Leistungsspektrum entstanden. Zur Verkürzung der Hochfahrzeit in einem Realisierungsprojekt, als eigenständige Dienstleistung oder Teil einer Marktstudie.

Das Gussdesign wird in die Entwicklung der Produktionstechnologie integriert, für schnelleren Hochlauf und/oder die Einführung neuer Produkte.

Production Technology Development contributes greatly to optimizing production flow(s) in casting process(es) when designing a new foundry.

Every foundry has its own distinctive processes, and nobody understands the complexities of their processes better than the foundry’s own specialists and engineers. For our part, we add comprehensive expertise that we have gained in product and process development projects and new product introductions in all metal casting processes. It enables us to promptly address any customer queries and work collaboratively towards achieving the best outcome. We can help you with your casting design, casting simulations, tooling design and manufacturing, prototyping, and training.

Together with our customers positive results have been achieved: a faster ramp-up of a new foundry or new part introduction including reducing loss of production in this phase. 45+ years, independently active in the foundry industry is a privilege and it strengthens us to be able to meet also that specific customer demand to assist in developing production technology parallel to the execution of a foundry realization and training of their staff.
