FIRST HALF 2018
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER We are proud to share our First Half 2018 Market Report for the Lake Sunapee Region real estate market. In this report you will find year over year market trends by Town in order to provide you with the most updated information so that you can make the most informed decisions as you evaluate your real estate options. The real estate market is beginning to pick up in the Lake Sunapee Region as we head into the peak Summer sales period. Overall, the entire Lake Sunapee area was relatively flat in the First Half of 2018 versus the same time period year ago with Properties Sold down just 1%, Average Sale Price up 2% and Average Days on Market down 5%. However, this varied significantly by individual town with the Average Sale Price increasing in Andover, Goshen, New London, Sunapee, Warner and Wilmot while Bradford, Grantham, Newbury, Springfield and Sutton all decreased. The lack of inventory will continue to be a major driving factor in the lower and mid-range segments. However, the economy is strong with low unemployment and wages have begun to show some improvement. We are cautiously optimistic that the current trends will continue throughout the Summer and Fall of 2018 even in the face of likely higher mortgage rates and the new federal tax legislation’s impact on the market.
