Market Overview At A Glance MONADNOCK REGION

The Monadnock Region housing market began to normalize in the First Half of 2023 and continued to do so into the year’s end - a contrast of trend after the previous and unprecedented two red-hot years. Limited inventory remained a major driving factor, and the total number of units sold was down by 22% across key select towns in the Region. The average sales price increased by 12%, and the average days on market increased 5% year over year. There is a breakdown for key Towns in this report for more details at a local market level. Moving into 2024, we anticipate that the normalizing of 2023 will continue. Buyer demand will continue to be strong, driven by limited inventory, and pricing will continue to hold steady. Mortgage rates will also prove to be a very important aspect, affecting both affordability and inventory.
