The Central Vermont region housing market, defined by Lamoille and Washington counties, began to normalize in 2022 after nearly two red-hot years.
Limited inventory remained a major driving factor, and the total number of units sold was down by -20.5% across the Central Vermont region. However, the average sales price increased by +5.8%, and the average days on market decreased by -37.3%. Additionally, properties sold above list price increased by +1.4%.

Moving into 2023, the majority of headlines on a national level are predicting a downturn in the housing market. However, we have not seen that swift downturn of activity in the Central Vermont region.
