Q1-Q3 2018
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER We are proud to share our Q1-Q3 2018 Market Report for the Southern Vermont Region real estate markets. In this report you will find year over year market trends by Town in order to provide you with the most updated information so that you can make the most informed decisions as you evaluate your real estate options. Overall, the real estate market results varied by specific county and town for Q1-Q3 2018 in the Southern Vermont Region. Specifically, Bennington County properties sold increased +11.4.%, while the average sale price increased +5.7% and the average days on market decreased -20.8.1%. For Windham County properties sold were flat at -0.1%, average sale price increased modestly at +1.9%, while the average days on market decreased -6.2%. Windsor County total properties sold increased +2.5%, the average sale price decreased -1.4% and the average days on market increased +3.5%. Overall, now is a very good time to sell if you are considering listing your home! The lack of inventory will continue to be a major driving factor in the lower and mid-range segments. However, the economy is strong with low unemployment and wages have begun to show some improvement. We are cautiously optimistic that the current trends will continue throughout the remainder of 2018 and into 2019 even in the face of likely higher mortgage rates and the new federal tax legislation’s impact on the market.
