KNOWLEDGE IS POWER We are proud to share our Q1 2018 Market Report for the Lakes Region of New Hampshire real estate market. In this report you will find year over year market trends by Town in order to provide you with the most updated information so that you can make the most informed decisions as you evaluate your real estate options. Overall, the real estate market is off to a mixed start in Q1 2018 in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire. Less available inventory has caused a decrease in unit sales and overall volume. Belknap County closed sales in units decreased -7.6% and total sales volume decreased by -14.0%, however, the Median Sale Price increased +15.3%. For Carroll County, total closed sales in units decreased -9.0% and total sales volume decreased -5.1%, while the Median Sales Price increased by +13.7%. The lack of inventory will continue to be a major driving factor in the lower and mid-range segments. However, the economy is strong with low unemployment and wages have begun to show some improvement. We are cautiously optimistic that the current trends will continue throughout the Spring and Summer of 2018 even in the face of likely higher mortgage rates and the new federal tax legislation’s impact on the market.
