Derby Cathedral
Year 2 have been learning about our community and what makes living in Derby special. They visited the Cathedral to learn about Derby’s heritage and the Christian faith.
Derby Cathedral is a magnificent building and we couldn’t believe how far it reached into the sky! We had to be very quiet when we went inside and even the smallest noises echoed around the high ceilings.
After the long walk from school we stopped for a snack and a drink before taking our tour of the inside of the cathedral.
A big thank you to the lovely volunteers who showed us around and taught us all about the importance of the Cathedral to Derby and to the Christian Faith.
