Hello, friends. Fred and George here, ready to spend a day with our friends in Drew County, Arkansas. We love living here and we want to share our day with you to show you all the fun things
Monticello has to offer.
Before we set out to explore Monticello, Mom and I had to go pick George up from Head of the Class Child Care and Learning Center. He is learning so much from Ms. Sherrie and the rest of the staff. He really enjoys his time here, especially when he’s getting to play with the other kids on the playground.

Next, George and I must visit the bank. The bank is where our money is kept safe when we aren’t using it. George and I have Johnny Appleseed accounts at Union Bank and when we deposit our money into the bank, we get to visit the nice people at the counter or drive-thru and they always give us suckers! Having a Johnny Appleseed account means I get to do fun activities with other kids that have accounts like go to the splash pad and movie theater in Monticello.
After we leave the bank, it is time to go car shopping. Mom says that we need more space for our travel adventures. Ryburn Automotive Superstore has lots of big vehicles to choose from. There are so many smiling faces and shiny cars at Ryburn Automotive. I was so happy when the salesperson pulled around in our brand new, bright red SUV. There is so much more room for activities in our new car and my mom was so happy with her experience.
After leaving Ryburn Automotive in our new vehicle, we went to Commercial Bank to finalize our loan. We were excited to go because we had leftover coins from our lemonade stand and wanted to use their awesome coin counter! Inside, we recognized familiar faces from National Kindergarten Day, where they passed out popsicles, bubbles, and glow bracelets at my school. We asked the friendly lady behind the counter what “The Community Builder” meant, and she explained that they cared not only about building a better Monticello and Drew County, but improving the lives of the people who live here!
