Hello, friends! What a great year it has been for my brother and I in Monticello. Mom and Dad have shown us everything in town and we have been on so many new adventures. I love watching my brother grow and learn to love Monticello just like I do.
WELCOME TO MONTICELLO
Since we have been doing so much sightseeing, Mom and Dad thought it would be a good time to get a new vehicle. We went shopping at Ryburn Motor Company right in the middle of town. There were so many shiny new cars to look at. At the end of the day, my parents sat down with the friendly salesperson and made a great deal. Later that day, my family drove away in our brand new ride thanks to the great people at Ryburn.
Now that we have a new vehicle, we had to set up new payments with Union Bank. The loan team at Union Bank makes everything very easy for Mom and Dad and they always leave smiling. While Dad was signing his paperwork for our new vehicle, Mom and I went to one of the nice ladies in the lobby to open River his very own Johnny Appleseed account. Now he is just like me. He was very excited to get his treat bag for opening the account and the nice lady behind the counter gave each of us a sucker!
On Monday, we wake up early and get ready for school. We are getting ready to start another year at Head Of The Class Childcare and Learning Center. Mrs. Sherrie and her staff have more than two decades of experience with children. Mom and dad trust that they will take great care of Pierre and me. Everyone at Head Of The Class cares about me being ready for kindergarten. I’m glad I have a safe and happy place to go everyday where I see my friends and learn new things.

Before Mom drops us off at school, we make a stop at Monticello Coffee Company for our morning treat. Mom told me that coffee is very important and Mrs. Annette and her team make the tastiest coffee. I love the big blueberry muffins she has. Everyone at Monticello Coffee is so friendly in the morning. I love visiting the store and ordering fresh lemonade for River and I.

Dad is really enjoying his job at Metal Mart. They supply customers with the best products for their projects. Dad says he likes working with people and making them smile when they find exactly what they want for their home.
Since school is starting back, the weather is finally going to get cooler. Thanks to Majors Forest and Lawn, we had no trouble with yard upkeep this summer. Majors has all the outside equipment you need to make things easy to keep your yard looking great. Dad took our lawn mower in for a yearly check up and River and I ran around the store looking at all the cool tools hanging on the walls.

Our mom works at our local hospital, Drew Memorial Health System. She told us that a hospital is where sick people go to get better and where babies can be born. Mom makes sure that all of the right paperwork is filled out for everything to run smoothly inside of the hospital. She loves working with the friendly people at Drew Memorial Health System and being an important part of the team.

On our way home, Dad stops at ACE Hardware to pick up some supplies for our house. ACE sells garden supplies, paint, grills and so much more. Dad takes River and I in so he can shop around and make sure he gets everything he needs all in one stop at ACE.

Well, it’s time for me to get some sleep. It’s not easy being a good big sister and I sure am exhausted! It sure is nice to live in a wonderful place like Monticello with my family. Good night!
