You’ll learn to provide care to people of all ages with common physical and mental health problems. Your high-tech training includes plenty of hands-on experience with a wide range of clinical skills, health assessments and medication administration. In addition to a significant emphasis on patient care, you will also learn about drug classifications and their effect on the body, as well as the promotion of healthy lifestyles. Throughout your training, you’ll practice critical thinking, leadership, team building and accurate communications, which will prepare you to work effectively in a variety of environments and with diverse patient populations. Upon completion, you'll be eligible to take the National Council of State Board's examination to become a registered nurse

A nursing assistant is an essential member of the healthcare team. This program will help you learn how to provide for the personal care and comfort of people with health problems. You will learn to bathe, dress, feed, mobilize and transport people; obtain pulse and temperature; and report observations and reactions to the health care team. Nursing assistants prepare equipment, take care of the patient’s room and keep patient records. In this role, you may assist clients with dementia and rehabilitation needs, and provide restorative care to help them maintain their independence. Upon completion, you’ll be ready to take the certification exam. You will have a variety of employment options as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).

You'll get plenty of handson experience with a wide range of clinical skills, health assessments and medication administration. Our state-of-the-art health simulation environment gives you access to a variety of life-like training opportunities to build your confidence and skills. Throughout your training, you’ll practice critical thinking, leadership, team building and accurate communications, which will prepare you to work effectively in a variety of environments and with diverse patient populations. Electives allow you to pursue specific areas of interest. Upon completion, you'll be eligible to take the National Council of State Board's examination to become a registered nurse.
