TORSIONAL VIBRATION DAMPERS INCLUDING ALL MOUNTING BOLTS When replacing a torsional vibration damper (TVD), mechanics need new crankshaft bolts and installation bolts. Gates responds to the market’s technical needs by including these bolts in the TVD box. Gates once more offers workshops smart solutions for a perfect replacement. Not all bolts are the same TVDs may be fixed with; one central crankshaft bolt, multiple crankshaft bolts, multiple installation bolts or a combination of one central crankshaft bolt and multiple installation bolts. Crankshaft bolts cannot be re-used and have to be replaced. Installation bolts could be re-used but it is not advisable to do so since in most cases they will have suffered from heavy loads. Gates offers one package that includes everything to do the job properly!
