ITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHI IDEA COMPETITION ____, Denmark Surface: 6.000 m2 Competition 2013 The project mainly composes of two parts: the museum complex and the garden. They are both part of the same system that addresses both to visitors

and local users by creating

a continuum between inside and outside, between the real

world and its imaginary counterpart. world

By entering the museum, visitors experience a fairy

that literally surrounds them and guides them through different theme areas where they get to learn while interacting with the exhibition itself. All around the museum the garden stands as the natural extension of the complex; besides hosting an outdoor theatre/auditorium embedded in its landscape, it also constitutes a suitable open green area for the local community to enjoy. So, the project combines a series of elements and situations that range from the urban scale to the architectural one, from the historical heritage to the future development, the social context and the cultural scene, all providing an enticing experience suspended between fantasy 0

elegance and

the casual style of this male fashion brand. The warm feeling of wood and suede leather is opposed to the cold feeling of shiny steel and brown painted glass. The formal atmoshpere is smoothened by the curved shapes props and the colourful ceiling laps. This concept store has already been adapted to 5 store in China, everytime using the same style and main elements.

Empire style of the 1940’s marring it with contemporary shapes and materials.

This mix of modern and contemporary elements creates a new brand image, that represents the

Italian style.

From the exterior the high podium and and the simple

elegance of the shop windows bring us back to the 40’s. The curved white opal glass reminds us about the typical folded curtains of that time; on the opposite the dynamics and irregular shape of the furniture gives movement and modernity to the store. The choice of using black iron, shining steel and concrete as main materials shows the willing of giving modernity in order to remind the “industriality”

of the brand, in opposition to

the warm velvet of the sofa and the fitting rooms. The atmosphere is also created with a cascade of lights in the center of the shop.

OR DESIGN INTERIOR DESIGN INTERIOR DESIGN INTERIOR DESIGN INTERIOR DESIGN INTERIOR DESIGN INTERI NOTA KIDS CONCEPT STORE in collaboration with Studio63 Architecture+Design Ningbo, China Shanghai, China Surface: 500 m2 Surface: 107 m2 Completed Completed 2012 2012 The design has been conceived to be a neutral space, in order to host different brands. The overall requirement lied in creating a non-characterized

flexible space, so that the number of

brands could be easily interchangeable and increased. The project's final outcome is a white

box made of neutral

materials, such as shiny white laquered mdf and a light wooden floor designed so that the product can really emerge and be appreciated. Even if the materials used are the same throughout the entire store, the customer's perception of space constantly changes, thanks to the soft

chosen and

shapes

the lighting layout.

Nota kids is a multibrand store for children, that not only incorporates spaces designed for selling, but also areas dedicated to the children's playing. These areas are located next to the structural columns, wich are demateralized thanks to a luminous installation, which resembles the foliage of a tree. All these elements, together with the store's symbol, a white backlit tree, can also be seen from the entrances, becoming a focal point for the store.

Shanghai: …The most vibrant city in the world, …The quickness of developing and construction …The slow flow of Chinese traditional world …The Old town VS Pudong …Chinese people VS Expats …Useless waste Vs recycling of everything Shanghai, the city of contrasts. Here live and we propose to install “Moving energies”: a design version of the public gym we can find everywhere in China. At sunset or at dawn traditional Chinese people meet and start dancing together, after work expats and business men run to their expensive gym to train them in shape. The “Moving energies” joins design world with the traditional Chinese habits. The “Moving energies platforms” are for fun, exercise, communication: they teach us ways to produce green energy. Each tool is mounted on a piece of puzzle: the game become modular and adaptable to different sites and environments.

ITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHI XIANGSHANG CLUB HOUSE in collaboration with Softgrid Architecture Xiangshang, China Surface: 14 217 m2 Under construction 2011 The design aims to use the potentials of the existing

building layout in the site, their positioning and circulation between them works very well. Another reason to keep the existing layout is that the trees are densely scattered between the buildings and they need to be removed if the building layout changes. The second traditional feature in the master plan is the East-West and North-South axes. Along the north-south axis, the 3 major open spaces are sequenced. The east-west axis consists of the Central Courtyard which is the main connection between the major functions like Lounge and Teahouse and also the views of the mountains on the west and the city on the east.

Gates or archways are important elements in traditional Chinese cities. They mark the main entrances to the city and also the major road structure. In our design, we introduce archways along our major circulation ring. They not only indicate the road, but also divide the different zones that the visitors will pass through.

This project starts from the need expressed by Vento di Terra ONG of finding temporary living solution for the Gipsy

community in Milan. This is the project of a standard living unit of 60 m2 thought for a family of 4 people. The flexibility of the base unit it is guaranteed thanks to the use of

earth bags technique of construction and a structural central furnished wall. The base unit provides a central common patio to allow the typical gipsy way of living. The construction of the unit is based on bioclimatic principles in order to increase the interior living quality without increasing construction costs. Photovoltaic cells, under roof ventilation, floor thermal mass, green roof and rain water collection are all principles used in this small project.

social housing suitable for the modern living styles. This projects starts from the reinterpretation of a Milan’s typical housing type:

la casa a ringhiera. The interior court becomes a spread court all over the galleries and the common spaces. This space becomes the meeting point for the inhabitants, a possibility to push Italian people to live in a more communitarian way. Another key word of this project is flexibility: the different aggregation of modules generates apartments and common spaces diversified, for every necessity.

High standard at low price, the general motto of the competition: each apartment is equipped with private cellar, garage, loggia in order to provide a comfortable house within the low budget prescribed.

Design and Enhancement of the IIIrd Mile of the Ancient Appian Way Master Degree Thesis_Prof. P. Caliari Rome, Italy Thesis 2010 The Via

Appia Antica, “Regina Viarum”, is a well-known

centre of excellence. The aim of the project is to promote the value of the area and to safeguard the archeological legacy of the III Mile of Via Appia Antica. This will be achieved by building a multifunctional pole to increase the visibility of the area and to ensure that finances continue to run autonomously. This program is articulated with three different approaches, each one aimed at creating a dialog between the local archeology and the morfology of the territory. The Mausoleo di Romolo is the beginning of the itinerary. It acts as the receiving and organising space which allows the function to support and welcome customers. The Circo di Massenzio becomes scenary of a large complex. Inside the new complex are located a part of the archeological collection of the area, a restauration laboratoy, and a riding school, aimed to rehabilitate the ancient function of the circus. The Mausoleo di Cecilia Metella and the fence of Castrum Caetani lodge some exhibition galleries which represent the aim to re-inhabit the old “borgo”, encouraging the permanence inside the area.

ITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHITECTURE ARCHI EDF RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT CENTER in collaboration with ECDM Architectes Plateau de Saclay, Paris, France Surface: 45 000 m² Competition 2010 This project is conceived as the genesis, as a model that can develop and transform itself. It has to communicate with the landscape and the surrounding context; it has to upgrade itself following the needs of EDF. These are the target of the project. It’s a 3 stories building where spaces aren’t hierarchized. Offices are organized around big courts, and fluxes invade interior spaces without any constriction. The outdoor courts become the meeting point for common activities and identify icon of the building. On the other hand it’s a very

performing building, with

laboratories and research centers thought for the developing of the company.

Walking through the Acropolis’s vestiges, it’s possible to feel the

sense of sacred. After admiring the Parthenon’s beauties, Propileus’ majesty and the Eretteus’ elegance we descend the hill to reach the area for humans: the theatres. Only a clever visitor would like to imagine this place as lively again, offering new performances and new possibilities for a new way of intending the theatre. This is the starting point for the project. We propose a performance with a double

scenography:

on one side the Greek tragedy, presented in a classical way, exactly where it used to be in the ancient times; on the other side a contemporary show that has the Acropolis as scene. Le Troiane by Eschilo and Ekodoom by Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company are facing. To set this show a revolving

platform is designed. It is set

where the ancient choir used to be in order to make the audience feeling completely integrated in the show.

To design a new block in a city it’s necessary to make a

deep

study on the area and its surroundings. Only in this way residential area in

it has been possible to propose a new

the ex OM site in Milan. A series of block are organized through open

courts, with a lot of green to connect the 2 nearby parks, creating a green lung for the city comparable to the big parks. Another important element is the railway. It has been integrated and it becomes a point of force. In this area residential buildings, offices, shops, playgrounds, kindergarten, parking, parks are designed. The final part of this project has been the development of a residential building characterizing the flats with flexibility. They are mostly empty and the services are put altogether in

furniture walls.

SEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RESEARCH RE PIERO BOTTONI: INA BUILDING, 33 CORSO SEMPIONE, MILAN Analysis, State of Preservation and Interior renovation Bachelor Degree Thesis_Prof. A. Coppa Milan, Italy Thesis 2007 This is a detailed study about an important building in Milano:

l’edificio INA in corso Sempione 33, in Milano, designed by Piero Bottoni. Thanks to archive

researches, I could find historical

documents that tell the story if this building from the conception till the construction. I wrote a text that speaks about the history, and the construction phases, with specific attention to the interiors, materials, finishes. This building lies on an important entry axe that is developed after the 2nd world war; this is an area of Milan where you can find buildings from important architects. This building is also important because it tries to investigate the

new typology of high-rise residential building with services for the inhabitants. Unluckily the good ideas haven’t been developed till the end and some features haven’t been built. It still remains one important building in the architectural history of Milano and among INA buildings.
