ABOUT ME
I am a young architect, graduated at Sapienza University of Rome. The studies and the experience related to the last years have contribuited to develope my critical sense and a personal point of view about architecture, but also the capacity to give a always different design answer, depending on different context an needs of the project. I’m an active person, with the ability to adapt myself to different works and situations, individually or as a team. I consider myself responsible and creative, obsessed with details and passionate about art, graphic and design. When I’m not at my pc, I love to read, spend time at the park with my beloved dog and learning archery.

UN ARRIVO PER LA COLOMBO A landing for Via Colombo
urban - landscape - utopic
2017 | Ostia - Rome Prof. Arch. Orazio CARPENZANO Tutor PhD Arch. Fabio BALDUCCI
Team urban proposal: Francesca Santarelli, Marta Sicignano, Sonia Galati Giordano, Carmen Sotoca-Sevilla. The Urban proposal has the aim to redraw the landing of via Colombo to the sea, that is also the link between Rome and the seaside. My personal project includes the design of the urban park and of the promenade. There were several elements to connect to each other: the Colombo landing, the seaside, Nervi’s Kursaal and all the new functions introduced with the urban concept. The architectural language changes from a regular one, along the seashore, to a most organic one, in the park, to encourage a dialogue with the nature of the Castel Fusano pinewood.

The central three stripes cross the Colombo to link the pinewood parts, to solve the Ecological corridors problem. The pedestrian bridges connect the park areas: sport fields and facilities, artifical lake, cultivated areas.
05
06
The grid, based on the Colombo section module, organizes and draws the pattern of the promenade along the seashore, and of the green area’s public illuminantion. Two main links: a vertical one, that connect the park to the beach, ends with the maritime theatre; a horizontal one, that is the promenade itself.

First, the project focuses on the Roman ruins. A big underground bilding goes back to the Roman soil level, linking the ruins with the riverside. The ruins are now protagonists of a cultural centre, hosting a library and a concert hall. this one looks out on an open-air theatre.
UNDERGROUND LEVEL 20

“Fessure”, that is “cracks”. the ground is broken to show up an hidden treasure, that is our culture and story. Vertical link connects the past to present day. Both the underground building and the Mira-Lanza’s pre-existence buildings are connected by the design of the park. The copper-covered vertical elements hide other access point to the underground complex. A sports centre takes place in the bigger building in front of Teatro India. A student residence fits the last two buildings, hosting a hundred students. New functions respect and preserve the industrial plants’s architecture.

PROGETTO FLAMINIO
Urban proposal for the Progetto Flaminio contest urban - cultural - interior
2015 | Rome Prof. Arch. Filippo LAMBERTUCCI Tutor PhD Arch. Samuel QUAGLIOTTO
The Flaminio contest required the design of the new Flaminio neighborhood, including residential buildings, green areas and the project of the new City of Science. To focus on the residential aspect, it was required to use the Santa Caterina market project, by Miralles & Tagliabue, as the new City of Science. So it was necessary to relate with it and with all the urban contest as well, that includes the MAXXI museum by Zaha Hadid, to develop the project.

The residential building folds on the side to follow the pedestrian flows that go from the square to Viale del Vignola. There are up to five apartments per floor, different from one another. The play of solids and voids that’s on the facade matches the organization of the spaces inside. Overhangs on a floor stand for balconies to the upper floor. Floors with balconies have lodges too instead of overhangs.

IN CIRCLE
reflecting on architecture composition urban - landscape - cultural - graphic
2018 | Rome Prof. Arch. Rosalba BELIBANI
The project is the result of a course on architectural composition, starting with the use of keywords to the analysis and the study of works of art, music and architecture. The result is a three-daywork project, where are concentrated ideas and conceptual studies on one hand and a real urban contest on the other. Here we are in Rome, Colli Aniene neighborhood, and the building is the new cultural centre of the district, with a direct access point to the Aniene river reserve.
