Do I choose my own area?

Lava Carts Pty Ltd will determine what geographic areas are offered as franchised areas. Currently we are seeking sites in Super- regional and Major- regional shopping centres.

What does the franchise package include?

It will include a geographic territory for example a shopping centre. There will be an option for a renewal at the end of the agreement.

Is the concept a cart?

No. As the name Lava Carts suggests we were built of the success of a coffee cart strategically placed at the front entrance to a public hospital. We have taken on the kiosk concept for functionality. There is however element of the old in the new.

What does the franchise come with?

Fit out of our custom designed kiosk. All equipment, furniture and core stock is included plus almost everything necessary to complete one full week’s trade is included.

What is the franchise fee/royalties?

We only ask a weekly flat fee of $150. No percentage of income.

How much support do you get?

Initial training and continual support is provided. Detailed operations manual and staff information book depicting all systems and procedures.

What about OH&S policy?

Lava Carts recognises our moral and legal responsibilities to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, customers and visitors as well as providing a n environmental policy.

Do we need to do a bookkeeping course?

No. We can guide you to do it yourself or help you find a bookkeeper.

Is it hard to set up a business?

Alone, there certainly are more challenges. As our franchisee we will guide you and direct you onto the productive path towards a healthy and vibrant business.

Will we be taught correct barista techniques?

Yes. In-class and on-site barista training is included in start-up as well as ongoing coaching.

Do we need to find a retail site?

No. Sites have been selected using industry professionals and in conjunction with our strategy for growth.

How would I go about hiring and managing staff?

We take an active role in initial staff recruitment. Human resource is also covered extensively in the operations manual, as well as having confidence in knowing help is only a phone call away. Page 1 of 1
