The Rio Vermelho district has typical features of a dormitory neighborhood. The predominance of houses, to the detriment of trade and services, makes local people move to other parts of the city to work, study, shop and have a leisure time.
CURRENT SITUATION
The streets that makes up the road system in the Rio Vermelho district are characterized by an abscence of connection and narrow. The lack of communication between one to another street complicates the relationship of the neighborhood

Initially intending to drain the water and avoid the frequent floods that neighborhood suffers from having a high groundwater, the idea was to create flow canals. This is also one of the structured elements of the proposal for the Rio Vermelho, so these canals gain greater importance and create a system of green spaces for leisure.
