Store Manager Sts’ailes Development Corporation

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sts’ailes Development Corporation is a wholly owned business corporation of the Sts’ailes Band, located between Agassiz and Mission off the Lougheed hwy. A growing professional corporation seeks to hire a Store Manager to oversee the day to day operation of the Sts’ailes Store & Gas Bar including supervision of all store clerical staff. This position is full time, day shift, but may require evening shift work including on weekends if clerical support becomes unavailable for their regular shift work, as well as making themselves available for on-call. Additionally, the position will work to maintain attractive customer service displays and supporting the Sts’ailes Development Corporation customer service vision. The position ensures a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members. The Store Manager reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Positions that report to the Store Manager include the Store Supervisor and Store Clerks. QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIRMENTS: 1. High School Diploma (or equivalent) with one to three years of experience working in a retail store environment. 2. Courses/certification completion in related Store Management would be an asset. 3. Experience in supervising staff and ability to prepare work schedules for all employees. 4. Ability to interview, hire and overseeing training of staff. 5. Knowledge of managing a Lottery sales unit would be an asset. 6. Ability to prepare costs analysis on new products for the store. 7. Ability to plan, organize and evaluate the purchasing activities for the Sts’ailes store. 8. Skills and knowledge in preparing monthly sales financial statements. 9. Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team; ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff. 10. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with Executive Management. 11. Ability to respond to customer inquiries, maintain good customer relations and solve problems. 12. A desire to grow with the company. 13. Ability to follow instructions and procedures. 14. Effective time management skills. 15. Strong work ethic and integrity. 16. Maintains confidentiality of professionally acquired information. 17. Valid BC Driver’s license 18. Respect and understanding of First Nation culture and traditions 19. Available to work evenings and weekends. Wage Range:

Negotiable based on education, qualifications and experience.

Type of Position:

Full-time – this position is subject to a 3 month probationary period
