French native, Francis George, believes that photography is in a perpetual state of change. Having survived the digital revolution, George embraces the technology whole-heartedly. He draws upon his decades of experience with film to produce technically masterful images. With a jovial attitude and a thick French sensibility, George prepares each shot methodically, anticipating what is needed to make the images come to life in post-production. Each shoot can yield hundreds of captures only to produce a handful of striking images.
/ plus /
Digital manipulator, Francis Baytan, started his career in analog. Paints, pencils and paper eventually lead to mice, tablets and Apple computers. Baytan’s credentials include, storyboard artist, illustrator, filmmaker, graphic artist and advertising creative director. After ingesting the raw captures into the computer, Baytan pushes the images to further heights with digital acrobatics that defy reality.
/ equals /
George and Baytan’s aesthetic interpretation of their subjects can be summed up as honest yet polished. The photographic duo have worked with a roster of editorial and commercial clients who demand this more honest approach.
