Science Tables Biology, chemistry and related lab classes require extradurable tables for experiments and other assignments. Since different schools have various preferences for these important products, Virco carries an array of science table models.
Wood-frame science tables combine a fixedheight configuration with three tops sizes. Models can be ordered with epoxy, Chemsurf or powder coat work surfaces. LAB FURNITURE
Steel-frame tables come in your choice of seven sizes with premium epoxy tops or high-performance Chemsurf® laminate tops. Fixed-height and adjustable-height models are available, as are adjustable models with casters.
Chemical-Resistant Science Table Tops Epoxy Resin Top Non-toxic epoxy liquid is poured into a mold to become a solid epoxy top, which is extremely heavy and provides superior resistance to abrasion, chemicals, acid, heat and moisture. This is the most durable science table top that Virco offers.
Chemsurf® Top As the midline grade of science table tops in the Virco catalog, Chemsurf high-pressure laminate work surfaces provide very good heat and chemical resistance; they’re also acid-resistant and water-resistant.
Powder Coat Top Available only with Virco’s wood-frame science tables, these 1” thick MDF tops are sprayed with a thermoset powder coat that offers very acceptable heat- and chemical-resistance for most general science and lab applications.

Science Tables For schools that specify steel-frame science tables, Virco has a great range of choices. Seven top sizes are available in fixed-height and adjustable-leg configurations; you can even choose adjustable tables with casters! Selected models come with a premium epoxy top finish, while all table styles can be ordered with a durable Chemsurf® high-pressure laminate surface that’s both chemical- and acid-resistant. Nine Virco wood-frame science tables with fixed-height legs offer you additional alternatives. Three models come with an epoxy top finish and a Natural Oak frame; a trio of tables have a Maple frame and a popular powder coat top; three more combine a Maple frame with a Chemsurf laminate.

For easier mobility, selected steel-frame science tables have 4” swivel casters on their legs; two casters feature a tread-lock brake.
Adjustable steel-frame science tables are equipped with telescoping tubular steel legs that enable a top-height range of 24” to 34”. Upper frame is Char Black and lower legs are Chrome.
If you prefer steel-frame science tables with a fully chromed apron and legs, Virco provides you with this frame finish choice.

Oak-Frame Science Tables
Science table with acid- and chemical-resistant Chemsurf® top. All mapleframe science tables have heavy-gauge steel corner braces; legs are connected to the apron with a hanger bolt, nut and washer. Environmentally friendly water-based finish.
Science table with epoxy resin top resists chemical, heat and physical abuse. Solid oak legs are bolted to the frame through a steel reinforcement plate.

Lab Sink This mobile unit makes a great addition to science rooms and other settings where a sink, or an extra sink, would be important. It includes a two-sided mirror/markerboard as well as a sink with a hand-pump faucet.

Art Equipment Special Virco tables for art rooms include a 30” high model with a spacious 42” x 60” top that facilitates a range of creative activities. Two other models feature a split top design that’s great for drawing and other graphic tasks. In addition, Virco now carries an easily adjustable art table with a 26” to 38” top height range. We also carry a heavy-duty drying and storage unit that can hold charts, posters, art papers, fabrics and prints. It features an all-steel welded frame, rubber bumpers for correct shelf spacing and casters for enhanced mobility. Other art equipment items include a folding wooden drying rack, a mobile storage rack that holds up to eight large rolls of art paper, a table-top drying rack, and a ware cart and optional shelves for ceramics and related art projects.
