Dreph Neequaye Dreph is a British born painter, making large-scale figurative paintings on the street and in the studio. Dreph was initially inspired by 80’s British underground comics, early New York subway art and Expressionism. His work is powerful, beautiful and subtle, shifting between vibrant colors to a more subtle or monochromatic palette. His sometimes dark images have an energy and depth of emotion that bring his characters to life. Inspired by modern British living, he describes his subjects as “Real people drawn from imagination”. Dreph has made work in Africa, The Middle East, Central and South America and throughout Europe.

Anthony Lister

BOS

Anthony Lister is an Australian-born painter and Installation artist. He has had solo exhibitions across Australia, United States, Europe and UK. He is notable within the Low Brow Art Movement and has been featured on Juxtapoz.com and FecalFace.com and WoosterCollective.com. He currently resides in Brooklyn. Lister was born in Brisbane, Australia. He graduated from the Queensland College of Art in Brisbane in 2001. He has travelled extensively throughout the world exhibiting his work both in the gallery and on the streets. His wife and two children are featured in his “Have You Seen Them? The Listers” stickers. Lister’s work suggest influences from a number of areas and genres, including street art, expressionism, pop art, and contemporary youth culture. It often deals with subject matter from popular culture, reflecting the less glamorous aspects. He occasionally draws from television and such themes as the “misguided role models” that result. Lister uses a variety of mediums to communicate his ideas such as painting, drawing, installation, film and music. “Bootlegger” Silkscreen on Bandana Edition 10/20 64 x 64cm Reserve Price £125 Valued at £300

“Jimmy Hendrix” 38 x 100cm Oil, Acrylic on Canvas No Reserve Valued at £600

Alec Monopoly Most people will recognise ‘Alec’ for the depiction on billboards, street walls and other streetscapes of the beloved Monopoly board game mascot Rich Uncle Penny Bags. In a more controlled, commercial gallery setup, ‘Alec’s’ work translates from an expletive gesture towards the invisible bureaucratic juggernaut into a multi-faceted array of Pop culture icons interspersed with financially-apocalyptic newspaper clippings. What separates his efforts from other high-profile graffiti artists who have effectively transitioned into the commercial art sphere (a.k.a. Banksy and Mr. Brainwash) is a deeper attraction to the ‘anti-hero’ personas of Jack Nicholson and Robert De Niro. Adding to the profile of such an impressive young artist is the mere fact that he is wanted by the NYPD for utilising the urban landscape in the Big Apple & Cali as his canvas. This international debut will in fact be the very first time that his show will warrant an appearance by the legend himself as in the last few weeks leading up to this latest New York exhibition, uniformed and plain-clothed police officers made enquiries at the studio and gallery with intent to discover his whereabouts. That he is under surveillance may be a surprise to those unfamiliar with how the NYPD has treated artists since Giuliani introduced a “quality of life” clean streets approach in the ’90s, largely kept in place by Mayor Bloomberg. Painters selling their work on the street as well as graffiti artists have been locked up, with their artwork confiscated and destroyed. “Union Jack Monopoly” Spray Paint on Flag 77cm x 122cm Reserve Price £500 Valued at £3,500

Otto Schade Otto was born in Chile on the 30th October 1971. He initially studied Architecture at the Bio Bio University and Construction and Design Architecture in Concepcion, Chile. As a successful architect, he has been awarded for public and private projects. Otto has always felt an avid fascination for the Surrealists, as well as the freedom which surrounds abstract painting. This influence has made Otto turn his creative skills to painting, which has become his strongest passion and for which he has also been recognized with an honorable mention. With the development of this other talent, Otto begins a journey in the search for new ideas and wider exposure for his work, taking him to exhibit his work in Concepcion (Chile),Berlin (Germany), Moscow (Russia) , New York (US), Amsterdam (Netherland) and finally to London (UK), where he is currently living and working. Otto’s painting ranges from abstract and surrealism to even urban art. Working mainly with oil paint and traditional supports such as stretched canvas, he also practices other techniques such as collage, illustration and stencil. The themes behind his compositions read in a personal, metaphorical sense with a sharp, ironic touch. Otto’s painting shows a unique style, proving an inventive imagination as well as a refined technique. “Kiss” Spray Paint on Canvas 77cm x 102cm Edition1/1 Reserve Price £400 Valued at £1,000

Don Don started out in 1984. He had been brought up in Borneo and when he came back to England he began to feel the confines of the concrete jungle around him. But it was to be a blessing. He looked at the stone and concrete walls in a different light. He saw them as vast spaces ready to be painted and moving spaces were even better, trains ... like cheetahs in the wild, were fast, got everywhere, but most importantly, were always ‘spotted’. Don quickly learnt that a jungle kid could fast settle into his new pack when he earnt himself respect from his name and ‘got up’. He was just 12. Old habits die hard and as important to Don as it was then, it is now.

“Weeping Queen” Spray Paint on Canvas 122cm x 92cm Reserve Price £350 Valued at £3,500

Bungle Having studied as a graphic designer in the early 90’s Bungle’s time finally ran out and reality took hold, he walked away from what he enjoyed so he could get a job doing something else. Bungle was sucked into the rat race but then it all came back to him; he started drawing again and got into stenciling, he sees everything in layers now. His sweet tooth for urban street art imagery grew. Paste-ups, spray painted graffiti, stencils and stickers all became a huge part of his life. His obsession to paint has born an artist who uses acrylics and spray paint with stencil and freehand techniques to make interesting and challenging work he can fine tune and exhibit on any object if for no other reason than to keep his own sanity. Bungle takes the iconic, famous, beautiful, glamorous and the unremarkable and creates an image with meaning either hidden or unashamed as he looks to question things we see in our daily lives.

George

Morton-Clark George grew up in south London. He de-constructs the world around him in a non-conformist way to produce art that shows the necessary truths of our society. He is heavily influenced by the experiences of his travels, which he uses to develop an abstract and objective view of his surroundings. It is often this ‘distance’ that becomes the subject and inspiration for many of his pieces. “Society has evolved a paranoid state of mind because of our ever-tightening freedoms. I see the world as a colliding of consciousness, made violent by its increasing extremes. We are becoming more suffocated in our day to day lives by marketing, religious views and bureaucracy. I use my work to explore the effects of these pressures on each other and ourselves.”

Fin Dac Hailing from Cork (Eire), Fin DAC has lived the majority of his life in London. Self-taught - with influences ranging from dark graphic novels to the works of Francis Bacon and Aubrey Beardsley - his passion for art and creativity is all consuming. In a relatively short ‘urban art’ career, he has forged a singular path in defining and perfecting an atypical paint style that ignores the accepted visual language of street art almost completely – he calls it Urban Aesthetics. He is a regular at exhibitions and painting events alike, where he has painted/exhibited alongside respected artists such as Nick Walker, Goldie, Jamie Reid, Jef Aerosol and C215. Fin DAC’s many commissions have included successful campaigns for The Royal Albert Hall, G-Star, Armani, Jagermeister and Radisson Hotel Group and he continues to traverse the line between serious artist and the corporate commission world with great success.
