THE MAN BEHIND FRANDSEN

It all began in 1968 when the man behind the brand and Frandsen’s founder, Benny Frandsen, designed his first lamp. Since then, Frandsen has kept evolving Benny’s designs keeping true to his design heritage while striving to make the designs last and inspire for generations and bridging Benny’s everlasting classics with new to come.

Frandsen create decorative, timeless lighting that inspire curiosity and add personality to any space, and with inspiring lighting designs, Frandsen brighten the lives of people everywhere. Rooted in a strong design heritage, Frandsen represent a love of organic, simple and graphic lighting solutions. The products are honest and built to last with sustainability being a vital part of the state of mind.

Frandsen’s founder, Benny Frandsen designed his first lamp in 1968. That same year, he designed the iconic Ball pendant and wall lamp, which is still relevant today as Frandsen keeps evolving, expanding and adding new colours to the collection. Benny Frandsen has won numerous international design awards for his lamp designs over the years, and in 2018 he celebrated his 50th anniversary with Frandsen.

From drawing designs which fits a design brief and a specific interior, to engineered solutions that can be scaled up and down in quantities.

When collaborating with Frandsen and our Bespoke department, we are making sure that the development process of your lighting request are overseen and followed from drawing to final product.

Whether you need us to design your lights, have a concept and a specific design in mind or want to use some of our standard products with new colours and tweaks, you are always welcome to contact us with your project and ideas.

MARTIN BRUDNIZKI DESIGN STUDIO

The spectacular 25 Hours Hotel in Copenhagen is designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio who has created a colorful and vivid interior concept. We are super excited to have been part of this amazing project in Copenhagen, where we have delivered various lamps and lighting installations.

“In the public areas, the special highlight and a real eye-catcher is the huge WOW logo above the bar, which is custom made by Frandsen. In line with the nautical design theme, the logo has an industrial, rough style. Made of corten steel it bathes the lobby in a pleasant light.

In the rooms, we were able to create a cozy lighting atmosphere by using many different light sources from Frandsen – giving guests the space to come down. Again Frandsen has created a real highlight for us – when entering the room you spot a custom made mirror element above the washbasin made from tube lights.

Frandsen has brought our interior design ideas in the Me and All Hotel Kiel to life with its custom design lights contributing to an amazing guest experience. “

NEW AARCH AARHUS

In the city of Aarhus in Denmark, the new School of Architecture was done in 2021. With inputs from several different architects the school is build to inspire and create space for development and growth. Inside the school a huge wooden construction called the Mediatek is creating the frame for an inspiring library and here, our FM pendants are creating clean lines and an interesting contrast to the wood beams.
