Have you tried to make money online by using one of the business in box turnkey systems? You know the type, the one's advertised to make you $100,000 per year starting in 15 minutes time. Have you been successful? Well, I have tried a few of these systems within the last couple of years and my results have not been very successful. I have at times been impressed by the sales copy of these products with headlines like 'You can make money online', 'One of my staff came up with the latest method and he made $40,000 in 6 weeks'. Do these products actually work however, I would say yes they do work but to make them work the effort you have to put into them is far, far more than the sales copy leads you to believe. I have tried for myself some of these systems. The first, I tried is a system that you copy the complete squeeze pages, Adwords, etc that the system provides. I tried it using Adwords, sadly not one sale. I must admit I gave up quite easily with this system so it would be unfair for me to base an opinion as to its success, lets just say that I could not make it work and I was faced with quite a heavy Adwords bill from Google so, ultimately I lost money. I then tried another system based on article writing. Once you sign up, you are allowed to go to a website where you have 20 or so products that you can choose from to market. These products are in fact the direct product sales pages. The system provided full instructions on how to use the free Ezine article submission sites and by writing one small article you are led to believe that literally thousands of people will be clamouring to get at your product. Article marketing just does not work like this. I was quite annoyed with this system and it is still being heavily marketed today. The two systems above took no account of building a subscriber list so; I decided that I would need to use a list building system next. I chose two systems, one is a well know US system and the other a well know UK system. Both systems had choice of products to sell, all with very good squeeze pages and with list building capabilities. The Website support of the systems was second to one. I tried both systems for about 3 months, spent about $800.00 on Adwords using their suggested sales copy and their keywords for Adwords. Once again not one sale. What I failed to recognise at the outset however, was despite there being a list building capability, I was in fact building the list for the Merchant, not my own list. I often wonder how many people I added to their lists, where their email marketing got the sale at my cost. It is my opinion that you could make money with these systems but do not just use them with Adwords, mix it with organic traffic. Finally I tried a system that provided you with tremendous support of the sales products, starting with 5 products and then adding a new one each month. This product included numerous webinars on how to get traffic, through safe lists, list exchanges and Blogs etc. In fact it went through every type of traffic except for Adwords, which they advise you not to use and even provided you with a word press blog for every product. I think this system was very good but once
again no list of your own, oh and by the way I made not one sale in 3 months but I did build a lost of prospects for the merchant. The major criticism of this system. Is trying to launch 5 separate Blogs simultaneously is impossible and doomed to failure. I would add however that this is a long term system and I would estimate that after about 4 or 5 months, good money would be made. Certainly not a 15 minute solution though. All of the systems I have tried are quite cheap with some requiring a monthly membership fee. I am sure that you can make money with them but put in the hands of complete beginners, I have my doubts that you will make much money. What they all did however, was alert me to the fact that what the systems were doing was simple and very easy to do yourself, which is eventually what I did and I have had a lot more success. I have since seen some much better systems on the market however, they are much more expensive. If you want to learn how to make extra money online, what I would suggest to any prospective purchaser is before you by one of these systems put the name of the system in the search engines and read a review of the system first. You may find that others like me have found the systems unsuitable. In the end I signed up with couple of the well know affiliate teaching gurus and learned how affiliate marketing works and I do what the turnkey people do, myself.
