How to Create a Fundraiser for Frankie’s Friends on Facebook for Giving Tuesday •

Dona%ons will be matched up to $50,000 per nonprofit or $1,000 per fundraiser beginning at 8am EST on Tuesday, November 28th.

Fees for dona%ons made on Giving Tuesday will also be waived by Facebook so 100% of funds raised will go to help pets in need.
1. Log in to Facebook. Go to the arrow all the way at the top right of your menu bar. Click the arrow, and scroll down to “Create Fundraiser.”
2. A pop up window will automaAcally generate showing you how to create fundraiser. Read the informaAon and click “Get Started.”
3. Click to choose that you are raising funds for a nonprofit organizaAon.
4. It will then ask you which nonprofit you are raising funds for. Type “Frankie’s Friends” in the search bar. Click to choose Frankie’s Friends as your charity of choice, and make sure you select the one that shows the dog and cat in the icon with the words “Donate Now” in the picture so you know you’re choosing the right link. Then select “Next.”
5. Set your fundraising goal. How much do you want to raise? Make the goal realisAc so people can see your progress and help you reach it! Choose November 29, 2017 as the date you want your fundraiser to end so it’s one day aUer Giving Tuesday. Then select “Next.”
6. Tell your story. Why are you raising funds for Frankie’s Friends? The best way to encourage people to give is to share your story. Make it personal. Did Frankie’s Friends help your pet in your Ame of need? Do you have pets that are part of your family, that you couldn’t possibly live without? Why are you giving to Frankie’s Friends, and why should people donate to help save pets’ lives?
7. Choose your cover photo. You’re more than welcome to use the one on Frankie’s Friends Facebook page, or you can make it personal and share a photo of your pets. You can also take an “unselfie” telling people why you give to Frankie’s Friends and encourage them to do the same. Then select “Create.” That’s it! Your fundraiser will go live!
8. Make the first donaHon! Whether it’s $1 or $100, if you donate to your own campaign, it will show your friends that you’re invested in the mission of Frankie’s Friends and that you’re willing to do the same thing you’re asking them to do, donate to help save pets’ lives.
9. Share, share, share! Spread the word, tell your friends! Encourage every one of your Facebook friends to get involved! Send personal messages to them and ask them to give, share the link on your page, and together we can help save the lives of more pets in need of specialty and emergency veterinary care!
