Introduction

Welcome to Franklin College, a liberal arts college in the Indianapolis metropolitan area, about 20 miles from downtown Indianapolis. Our students thrive through intimate class sizes, individual mentorship and focused attention. Our location is ideal because we can benefit from the inclusivity and personality of a smaller setting, but we still have access to all the professional (and fun) opportunities of the big city whenever we like. We believe the liberal arts are as much an experience as an education. We know that many colleges offer a liberal arts curriculum, but at Franklin, we view the liberal arts as a transformative opportunity to expand passions and identify new interests. Through our curriculum, students gain more than just a well-rounded perspective. They graduate from Franklin equipped with a holistic worldview, leadership experience and focused skill set that translates into real-world jobs. Faculty-student relationships are special at Franklin. Our professors work closely with students to identify their passions and strengths and then help them find research and internship opportunities that best fit their abilities and spark their interests. Our professors support students but they also challenge them to stretch beyond easy answers or just checking off requirements. ACCREDITATION

Franklin College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association (30 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2400, Chicago, Illinois 60602-2504, Telephone: 1-800-621-7440), the Indiana Department of Education, and the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education. In addition, the college maintains memberships in numerous other professional associations for the purpose of upholding standards of educational excellence.
