Start Your Pursuit APPLY ONLINE

We accept applications throughout the entire year at FranklinCollege.edu/apply and through the Common Application. It’s free, and we are test optional.

VISIT CAMPUS You have the option to schedule an in-person or virtual visit. We can’t wait to show you around.

PAY YOUR ENROLLMENT DEPOSIT Reserve your spot by paying your $200 Enrollment Deposit. Once your deposit is received, you can log into the New Student Checklist. This checklist will ensure you have all the forms and resources you need to officially become a Grizzly.

FILE THE FAFSA We encourage all families to file the free Application For Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), regardless of income. You may start as early as October 1 and finish as late as April 15 to receive consideration for state and federal financial aid.

LEARN ABOUT MERIT SCHOLARSHIPS Once admitted, you’ll receive your merit scholarship notification by mail. Those admitted before Dec. 1 will receive scholarship notification before Dec. 31. Students admitted after Dec. 1 will receive notifications on a rolling basis. We encourage you to apply for additional outside scholarships as much as possible.

FINALIZE YOUR FINANCIAL AID Filing the FAFSA early benefits you. In December, the college begins creating financial aid offers for students who have included us on their FAFSA. Then, in mid-December, we email students their offer, which includes your FAFSA aid along with your academic merit scholarship. An admissions counselor will work closely with you after that to discuss all of your options.

ATTEND NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION DAY During this exciting time, you’ll meet other Grizzlies, receive your schedule, tour residence halls and dive into Griz life. This event is required for all new students. Attending an early registration date will give you the most flexibility in building a class schedule. You must submit your enrollment deposit to attend.

STAY CONNECTED Join us on social media! As a new student, you’ll have access to our Facebook group so you can connect with other future Grizzlies.

“Coming from that kind of stereotypical small-town school that tended to favor certain types of kids, I sometimes felt ignored by my high school teachers, so it was almost a culture shock to come to Franklin and have professors show, not only a vested interest in me, but a belief that I can succeed.

They really made me feel like I matter here.” KAYLEE SEABOLT, ’21 HIS T OR Y

“I have friends at big schools and they have classes with 400 people. My biggest class was 25.

That means I always have access to my professors. I like having relationships with my professors, and knowing that if I have questions, I can find answers.”
