Chicago Public League Basketball Coaches Association: Supporting Chicago Public Schools

The Chicago Public League Basketball Coaches Association (CPLBCA) is a non-profit organization that strives to support coaches working in Chicago Public Schools by providing an environment of fellowship and collaboration. The goals of the CPLBCA include supporting high-quality basketball programs for the schools that their coaches serve, improvement of coaching skills and education, supporting high academic achievement and higher education through students’ basketball careers, and more. Becoming a member of the CPLBCA is an incredible way for coaches in the Greater Chicago area to feel supported and active in the Chicago basketball coaching community. The CPLBCA needs voices from all over the city to best enhance the education of student athletes in Chicago Public Schools. For coaches who are interested in becoming a member, dues entail a $100.00 payment by check to the CPLBCA. Checks must be mailed to DuSable High School, mail run # 42, Attn: Eugene Henry. The CPBBCA is thrilled to help coaches in the Chicago area deepen and further their career goals to serve students to the fullest. For coaches who would like to begin exploring their career options in the Greater Chicago area, Contact Eugene Denk at 6536 North Know, Lincolnwood, IL 60117. The CPLBCA enjoys supporting students in achieving their higher education goals through its scholarship program. Upward of $22,000 in scholarships have been awarded to students who meet the qualifying grade point average of 3.0. Currently, nominations are now being collected for the CPLBCA Hall of Fame. Nominations are accepted online for players, coaches, teams, officials, and friends of basketball at http://www.cplbca.org/HoFNomination.php. Nominations for students must include alumni who were Public League players who graduated at least five years prior to a nomination. Frank Lollino, a prominent basketball coach based in Chicago, Illinois, has served as a proud member of the CPLBCA since 1999.
