BLUES AIM TO TAKE WIND OUT OF TORNADOES This Saturday night to start May Madness, the ‘Powerade’ BLUES Women they will take on Launceston Tornadoes, at Frankston Basketball Stadium. (90 Bardia Ave. Seaford). Last week the Blues were unable to overcome the deep roster of Nunawading Spectres going down by 18 points. Steph Reid managed to come away with a double-double. The Tornadoes last week came out with a win over Waverley Falcons, now sitting2-3. They are lead by their captain, import guard Stephanie Gardner. Gardner currently 19 points per game and go with 6 boards and 6 assists per game. Watch out for the Lee/Gardner match up.

BLUES TO QUIET THUNDER This Saturday night to kick off May Madness, the ‘Frankston RSL’ BLUES Men they will take on North West Tasmania Thunder, former home to Blues’ guard Lachlan Barker. The Blues overcame Nunawading Spectres last week by 13 points. Majok Majok top scored for the Blues with 18 points, but it was the moves of Najeal Young that got the crowd excited. The Thunder (sitting 3-2) defeated Waverley Falcons in overtime (121116). They are lead this year by young Tre Armstrong currently averaging 19.5 points per game. Watch out for the Barker/Armstrong match up.


MAY MADNESS May Madness is here! Frankston Blues over the month May are set to host a NBL1 home double header every Saturday night at Frankston Basketball Stadium (90 Bardia Ave. Seaford) It kicks off on Saturday the 4th against the Tasmanian partner license holders Launceston Tornadoes and North West Tasmania Thunder, former home to Lachlan Barker. The 11th of May will see the return of Daniel Trist as both teams take on Eltham Wildcats for PINK NIGHT, part of NBL1’s Mothers Day round clash. Also coming up from Big V, the Knox Raiders will play on the 18th former home to Milly Ivanov, Taylor Lee and Gabby Tarabolsi Finishing off the month Hobart Huskies will be crossing the bass strait on the 25th. The month is also expected to see the return of star import big Shereesha Richards for the ‘Powerade’ Blues Women. While Head Coach Jess MAY is set to have her birthday in MAY…. This MAY get confusing.
