Voice information session coming up
AN information session on the Indigenous Voice to Parliament will take place in Frankston later this week.
The information session will feature a presentation by Dunkley MP Peta Murphy. It will take place from 5.30pm to 6.30pm on Thursday, 31 August, at Frankston High School’s performing arts building.
Murphy said “the Voice to Parliament referendum will be a significant historical event, so it is important that the community is equipped with accurate information before we vote. That’s what these sessions are about.”
“Across the community, locals are coming together to learn about the referendum to recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples through a Voice. If you have questions, please come,” she said.
The referendum will take place later this year. Voting is compulsory for eligible voters.
Frankston High School is at 97 Foot Street, Frankston.
